BPMN Workflow for Projects & Tasks
Attach a full BPMN 2.0 diagram to each Project or Task. Edit in the same powerful modeler (Token Simulation, Color Coding, Append Elements, Upload, Zoom), and download as .bpmn or .svg directly from the project or task form — no need to open the BPMN app. One diagram per project or per task, always in context.

BPMN on Project & Task
Link one BPMN diagram per project and one per task. Create on first use or attach an existing diagram.
Edit BPMN

How to Get Started
- Install BPMN Workflow Designer and BPMN Workflow for Projects from your Odoo Apps menu.
- Go to Project and open (or create) a project or a task.
- In the project or task form header, click Edit BPMN. The first time, a new diagram is created and linked to the record (opens in a new tab).
- Design your process in the modeler — drag-and-drop, context pad, colors, comments — then save.
- From the project or task form, use Download .BPMN or Download SVG to export the diagram without opening the modeler.
- Optionally use BPMN.IO → Design for standalone diagrams, or upload/import .bpmn in the modeler when editing from a project or task.

Easy Setup & Configuration
Configuration is done securely from standard Odoo Settings. Open the user profile and assign the BPMN Designer privilege to let them create and edit diagrams.
Token Simulation

Append Elements
Hover any element to open the context pad and instantly append a connected task, event, or gateway — the connection is drawn automatically.

Zoom Controls & Undo/Redo History
Navigate large, multi-lane BPMN diagrams with step-zoom controls, or use Fit-to-Viewport to instantly center the entire diagram on screen. Standard Undo (Ctrl+Z) and Redo (Ctrl+Shift+Z) history options are right next to the zoom controls so you never lose track of a mistake.
Element Color Coding
Select any element and use the color picker to apply custom fill or stroke colors. Colors are persisted in the BPMN XML and visible to all users.
Real-Time Collaborative Comments
Attach threaded comments to individual BPMN task nodes to discuss processes with your team. Multi-user collaboration is instantly synced across all active sessions using Odoo's Bus Service.
BPMN on Project
Each project can have a linked BPMN diagram. Open the modeler from the project form (Edit BPMN opens in a new tab), and download as .bpmn or .svg from the same form. The BPMN column appears in the project list; search and group by BPMN in the project search view.
BPMN on Task
Each task can have its own BPMN diagram for process or sub-workflow details. Edit BPMN (BPMN Designer only) and Download .BPMN / Download SVG are in the task header; the BPMN column is in the task list and the task search supports filters and group by BPMN.
