WHY BUSINESSES USE THIS CONNECTOR
Running a Magento 2 store & Odoo together takes a lot of work — if they are not connected.
Without a good integration, your team updates products in two places, stock gets out of date, and orders are entered by hand. The VentorTech Magento 2 Connector keeps everything in sync automatically — products, stock, orders, customers — so your team can focus on the business.
Built for businesses running Magento at its full complexity: configurable products, multi-website storeviews, customer group pricing, custom attributes. Years of real customer scenarios have shaped how the connector handles all of it today.
Stock stays correct
Stock levels update in Magento automatically when they change in Odoo — in real time or on a schedule. Backorder mode configurable per Magento's own model. No more overselling.
Orders arrive automatically
New Magento orders appear in Odoo within seconds. The connector can confirm, invoice, ship, and process payment without manual steps.
Prices stay up to date
Export prices from Odoo pricelists to Magento — regular and special prices, per storeview or customer group.
Configurable to your process
Every sync rule can be adjusted — which fields, which direction, which storeviews. The connector fits your process, not the other way around.
GETTING STARTED
How it works
The connector includes a step-by-step setup wizard that guides you from the first connection to a fully working sync — no developer needed for standard setups.
Connect your store
Link your Magento 2 store to Odoo with a Bearer integration token. The wizard tests the connection and confirms that everything is ready before you continue.
- Bearer token authentication — generated once in Magento admin (System → Integrations)
- Connection test runs automatically before you continue
- Works with all Magento 2.x versions, including Adobe Commerce
Import your data & configure sync
Import your existing Magento data — products, customers, orders, taxes, and shipping methods. Then set up sync rules to match how your business works.
- Import full catalog with configurable products, variants, and attribute sets
- Import historical orders from any date
- Map products by SKU — existing records are matched automatically
- Configure which fields sync and in which direction
Go live & run automatically
Turn on the sync jobs. From this point, new orders, stock changes, and product updates happen automatically — with clear logs so you always know what the connector did and why.
- New orders arrive within seconds via webhooks
- Scheduled jobs keep stock and products in sync
- Every action is logged — easy to check if something goes wrong
Not sure if the setup will work for your store?
Request a free demo and we will walk you through the connector — or set up a demo instance connected to your store on request.
DATA SYNC COVERAGE
What gets synchronized
Broad coverage across all key data — products, stock, orders, customers, and more.
BUILT FOR MAGENTO 2
Built around how Magento actually works
Three highlights of how this connector handles Magento-specific scenarios that most basic connectors get wrong. Works with Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The Feature Details section below has the complete list.
Configurable products, done the Magento way
A Magento configurable product is a parent plus a set of child simples — not a single record. The connector builds that structure for you: it creates the parent, exports every variant as a child, and links them together. Change your attributes in Odoo and the obsolete children are cleaned up automatically.
- Parent, children and links created in one export
- Simple, configurable and virtual products sync both ways
- Everything matched by SKU — no fragile internal IDs
- Product-type mismatches blocked before they overwrite data
Multi-Source Inventory, per source
If you run Magento MSI, each Odoo location maps to a Magento source and stock is pushed per source — not flattened into one number. Not using MSI? Your Odoo locations are summed into a single stock count instead. Both setups work out of the box.
- Odoo location → Magento source mapping (MSI, Magento 2.3+)
- Or classic single-count stock for non-MSI stores
- Pick your quantity source: on hand, free or forecasted
- Manufacturers: push what you can produce from your BoMs
Multi-store and multi-language, natively
Magento's websites, stores and store views are treated as first-class records, not ignored. Pick which store views a product belongs to, and the connector pushes the right translated name, attributes and meta data to each one — using Magento's own translation layer, so no third-party plugin is involved.
- Websites, stores and store views imported and kept in sync
- Product content exported per store view, in its own language
- Per-store-view meta title, meta description and weight
- Customer language taken from the store view they ordered from

Frequently asked questions

The connector is available for Odoo 16, 17, 18, and 19 — both Enterprise and Community editions. Each Odoo version is a separate purchase. Odoo Online does not allow third-party apps and is not supported.
On the Magento side, it works with both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce, using the standard Magento 2 REST API. Multi-Source Inventory features need Magento 2.3 or newer with the MSI modules enabled. If you are on an older 2.x release, contact us and we will confirm compatibility with your exact version.
Yes. We can set up a demo instance connected to your Magento store so you can check that everything works for your specific setup before you purchase. Contact us through our support portal: support.ventor.tech
Yes. The connector matches products between Magento and Odoo by SKU, so existing product links do not need to be rebuilt from scratch. Historical orders can be imported from any date, and the setup wizard guides you through the full transition.
We recommend requesting a demo before switching — we can walk you through the migration with your actual data so there are no surprises. Contact us at support.ventor.tech
New orders are imported by a scheduled job that runs at an interval you choose, so nothing extra is needed in Magento to keep orders flowing into Odoo.
Magento has no built-in webhook system. If you want updates within seconds instead, the connector supports webhooks through a Magento webhook extension — we recommend the Mageplaza "Magento 2 Webhook" module. You install it, paste in the payload URL from the connector, and updates to orders, invoices, shipments, and products arrive immediately. Everything else — order import, product export, stock sync — works without any extra Magento extension.
Every sync action — products, stock, orders — is recorded with a clear status and message. If a step fails, it is immediately visible in the job log with the exact reason, so you can identify and fix the problem without guessing. You can also receive an email notification whenever a sync job fails.
For order processing, each automated step (confirm, invoice, ship, etc.) shows a clear pass or fail status, and failed steps can be retried individually once the issue is resolved. Failures surface in the log with the reason rather than disappearing.
The setup wizard guides you through every step — connection, store views, taxes, data import, sync rules, and order configuration. Outside Odoo, you create an access token in your Magento admin, which takes a few minutes and is documented step by step.
On self-hosted Odoo there is also a one-time job-queue entry in your odoo.conf —
the setup wizard checks it and generates the exact lines for you to paste. If you want webhooks,
you install a webhook extension in Magento as well (see above).
Most businesses complete the whole setup without developer help.
For more complex setups — custom field mappings, specific workflows, or server installation — our team offers an installation and configuration service through our Ecosystem store (ecosystem.ventor.tech).
Purchases on Odoo Apps include 90 days of support from the date of purchase. Support tickets are handled by the developers who built the connector — not a general helpdesk.
If you need longer support, purchase directly through our Ecosystem store (ecosystem.ventor.tech) where support is included for as long as your subscription is active. Support packages for 1, 2, or 3 years are also available.
Your data stays in your own Odoo instance — the connector is a module that runs on your Odoo, not a service that holds your data. VentorTech is based in Poland (EU) and our support and infrastructure are entirely EU-based, which makes GDPR compliance straightforward for European businesses.
There is no limit. You can connect as many Magento instances as you need to a single Odoo instance. Each one has its own settings, sync rules, and payload URL.
Inside a single Magento instance, the connector imports your full structure — websites, stores, and store views. You choose which websites and store views the connector syncs with, and product content is exported to each of them in its own language.
Yes. You can exclude specific products from sync entirely, and set your own filter rules for which products are imported from Magento in the first place. For orders, you can filter by Magento status and by store, and import only what your team should handle in Odoo. You can also control which fields sync and in which direction — per field.
Both Magento inventory models are supported. If you use Multi-Source Inventory, each Odoo location is mapped to a Magento source and stock is pushed per source, so your store keeps the same warehouse split you have in Odoo.
If you do not use MSI, stock from any number of Odoo warehouses or locations is aggregated into the single Magento stock count. You choose which quantity is sent — free, on hand, or forecasted — and whether it is pushed on every stock move or on a schedule. For manufactured products, the quantity you can produce from your Bill of Materials can be added on top of what is physically in stock.
Yes. You list the Magento attribute codes you care about and map them to Odoo product fields. For every field you decide whether it syncs, in which direction, and you can add a Python transformation script if the value needs to be adjusted along the way. Mappings can be tested against live data before you apply them.
For B2B sellers, the VAT number from the Magento billing address is imported automatically and used to match the order to an existing company record in Odoo, instead of creating a duplicate contact. You choose which Odoo field it is written to.
Yes, and no translation plugin is required — Magento handles languages through store views, and the connector uses that directly. Your Odoo translations are exported to each store view in its own language, including product names, descriptions, and meta title and description. Customers are created in Odoo with the language of the store view they ordered from, and orders are imported in the customer's original currency.
Yes. Contact us through our support portal and describe what you need. If the feature fits the product and would benefit other customers, we may include it in a future release — in which case you may receive a discount of up to 50% on the development cost.
WHY IT WORKS BETTER
Built differently from most connectors
Three things that make a real difference when your business depends on sync working correctly every day.
Built to keep running, even when things go wrong
Real-world Magento stores hit busy periods, extension slowdowns, and database conflicts. Most connectors just fail and stop. This one is engineered to recover — automatically when it can, and with one-click bulk-fix tools when it can't.
- When Magento is busy, it waits and retries instead of giving up
- Failed jobs are retried automatically; fix the cause once and re-run them all in one click
- Slow responses, server errors, and connection drops are each handled the right way
Full control over every field
Most connectors sync fixed fields in fixed directions. Here you decide exactly which fields sync, which direction, and how values are transformed — for every integration separately.
- Enable or disable sync per field
- Set direction per field: import, export, or both
- Add a Python script to transform values during sync
- Test field mappings against live Magento data
You always know what happened
When a Magento order arrives in Odoo, the connector confirms, invoices, ships, and processes payment automatically. Every step shows clear pass/fail status — failures surface with the reason, so you are never left guessing what happened.
- Each step visible with clear pass/fail status
- Failed steps easy to find, fix, and retry
- Up to 7 automated steps: confirm → apply advance payment → ship → create invoice → confirm invoice → send → register payment
- Different rules for each Magento order status
Everything is logged
Every sync action — products, stock, orders — is recorded with a clear status and message. If something goes wrong, you can see exactly what happened and why, without guessing or contacting support first.
Running more than one Magento store?
You can connect multiple Magento instances to a single Odoo instance. Each one has its own settings and sync rules — and all VentorTech connectors (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento 2, PrestaShop and Base (Baselinker)) are built on the same platform, so adding a second platform later is straightforward.

Release Notes
- 2.1.6 (2026-06-23)
- [IMP] Added a "Store Mappings" smart button on product field definitions, showing how many store-specific mappings use the definition and opening them in one click.
- [IMP] Aligned the column order in mapping lists so the external (e-commerce) record is always shown before the Odoo record, matching the rest of the mapping views.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where importing Magento bundle product orders that include discounts could fail due to a parent/child line total mismatch. The connector now accounts for child-line discounts when validating bundle totals, so these orders import successfully.
- [FIX] Improved contact matching during order import to prevent duplicate contacts. A previously mapped contact that has no parent company is no longer reused when the order requires a company (B2B) context, and company assignment changes are now detected correctly — avoiding wrongly reused or duplicated contacts.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where e-commerce payments registered in a currency different from the order currency were recorded without conversion, resulting in an incorrect payment amount. The amount is now correctly converted from the external currency into the order currency.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where matching existing Odoo records by name during import used the current user's language instead of the integration's store language. In multi-language setups this could fail to find existing records (attributes, categories, delivery carriers, taxes, pricelists, order sub-statuses) and create duplicates. Matching now consistently uses the integration language.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where a block-level export job could be linked to the wrong record — a product template ID was stored in the field meant for the e-commerce store — causing the job to reference an incorrect record.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 2.1.4 (2026-05-27)
- [IMP] Added "Auto-Link" button for attribute values, allowing users to quickly map external attribute values to existing Odoo attribute values — particularly useful when working with custom attribute mappings.
- [IMP] Improved VIES VAT validation handling when the service is temporarily unavailable or overloaded. The connector now automatically retries the request up to 3 times before proceeding — and if the service remains unavailable, the order is imported successfully with a note added to the contact's chatter to flag the unvalidated VAT number.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where product export used incorrect company context in multi-company setups. When a product was shared between multiple companies, the connector could export data (such as taxes and cost price) from the wrong company instead of the one associated with the integration, resulting in incorrect values being sent to the e-commerce store.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where external records created during product export were assigned the name "False" instead of the actual product name from the e-commerce store. This occurred when the connector detected an existing matching product and switched to import mode — the product name is now correctly retrieved and stored on the external record.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where product webhooks did not respect the product import filters configured in the integration settings (e.g. "import active products only"). Products received via webhooks are now validated against the same filters as the regular import process, preventing unwanted products from being created in Odoo.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where product export failed with a "Duplicate internal reference" error in multi-company setups when two companies had products with the same SKU. The connector now correctly scopes the duplicate SKU check to the integration's company, allowing products with identical SKUs across different companies to be exported without conflict.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- [NOTE] Please re-run the Magento 2 configuration wizard after upgrading to reselect your websites and store views.
- 2.1.3 (2026-04-08)
- [IMP] Added multi-website support for Magento 2. The integration now supports connecting to multiple Magento websites within a single integration, with Store Views tracked as a distinct level (Website → Store → Store View).
- [IMP] Updated the Magento 2 configuration wizard to allow selecting multiple websites, choosing individual store views to synchronize, and designating a primary store that drives the main language, currency, and data import. Products are now automatically assigned to the correct websites on export.
- [IMP] SEO fields (meta title, meta description, short and long descriptions) are now correctly synchronized per language based on store view locale.
- [IMP] The Transaction Date imported from the e-commerce store is now used as the Payment Date when creating payments in Odoo, ensuring payment records accurately reflect the original transaction date rather than the date of import.
- [IMP] The "Allow Multi-Company Inventory Calculation" setting has been removed. Multi-company stock calculation per location is now always enabled automatically with the correct company context applied, simplifying configuration.
- [IMP] API credentials (access tokens, secret keys, passwords) are now masked in connector authentication wizards, preventing sensitive information from being accidentally exposed.
- [IMP] When using the "Auto-Link" button on a product mapping, the result is now displayed in a dialog instead of silently failing or showing a raw error message.
- [IMP] Multiple small UI/UX improvements across connector views to enhance usability and overall user experience.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where product variants remained archived in Odoo after the product was unarchived via webhook, causing the product to appear active while its variants were still inactive.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where inventory export in multi-company setups could ignore configured stock locations belonging to a different company than the one set on the store connection, causing incorrect stock quantities to be sent to the e-commerce store.
- [FIX] Fixed a critical issue where preprocessing scripts in "Order and Delivery Attribute Import Mapping" silently failed on Odoo 19.0, returning empty values instead of the computed result. The failure was caused by an incompatible argument in the script execution engine and was not visible to the user — only a hidden warning log was generated. All attribute import mappings that use preprocessing scripts are now working correctly.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where custom field mappings were incorrectly marked as system fields after migrating from version 1.X.X to 2.X.X.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- Please re-run the Magento 2 configuration wizard after upgrading to reselect your websites and store views.
- 2.1.2 (2026-03-20)
- [NEW] Added detailed contact handling trace logs during order import to help diagnose how customers, delivery addresses, and invoice addresses are resolved. To enable, activate the "Save Logs" checkbox on the Testing tab and add "Customers Sync" to the Log Types. A "View Contact Trace" button on the external order form provides quick access to the saved trace for each imported order.
- [NEW] Added support for "Create Advance Payments (Before Invoice)" — a new option in the Sales Orders tab (requires "Auto-Apply Payments from E-Commerce System" to be enabled). When active, the connector registers payments directly on the Sales Order at import time, before any invoice is created, using the OCA sale_advance_payment module. The auto-workflow payment step is fully compatible — it will skip payment creation if the advance payment already covers the invoice, or register only the remaining balance if partially covered.
- [IMP] Added partial Spanish language translation for the connector interface (65% complete). We welcome community contributions to help translate the connector into other languages - if you'd like to help, please reach out to us at support@ventor.tech.
- [IMP] Magento 2 connector improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability. A major feature release for the Magento 2 connector is currently in progress - stay tuned for upcoming announcements.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where customer matching during order import incorrectly fell back to name-based search when the configured search fields (e.g. email) had no value in the incoming order. This could cause orders without an email address to be incorrectly linked to an existing contact with the same name, leading to wrong order assignments and data privacy issues. The connector now respects the configured search fields strictly and creates a new contact instead of falling back to default matching criteria.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where real-time inventory synchronization was not triggered after completing a manufacturing order when "Forecasted Quantity" was selected as the Inventory Quantity Source Field, causing the produced product's stock level to remain outdated in the e-commerce store.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 2.1.1 (2026-03-01)
- [NEW] Added "Export Inventory Now" button to the Inventory tab, allowing users to manually trigger a full inventory export for all products at any time — regardless of the Scheduled Inventory Sync setting. The export runs in batches as background jobs, the same way the scheduled action does.
- [NEW] Added "Run Now" button on background jobs (available in debug mode), allowing jobs to be executed in real time instead of being queued. This is primarily intended to simplify debugging and issue investigation.
- [IMP] Added pre-defined filters "Mapped to Store(s)" and "Not Mapped to any Store" on the product list, making it easier to identify which products are synchronized with your e-commerce store and which still require mapping.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where external records for newly created categories did not have the parent category set, causing inconsistency with imported categories where the parent was correctly assigned.
- [FIX] Fixed a product status field mapping script that worked correctly by coincidence due to Python's bool/int behavior. Corrected for reliability and to prevent potential breakage in future refactoring.
- [FIX] Fixed an error during category export to Magento 2 that occurred when a category was created in Odoo without a parent category assigned. The connector now correctly falls back to the default category defined during the initial connector configuration.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue where discount lines imported from Magento 2 orders were missing tax information, causing incorrect tax calculations on the Sales Order.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 2.1.0 (2026-02-18)
- [IMP] Enhanced UI/UX across connector views, based on customer feedback. The Status menu is now more functional, with quick access to unmapped records, store connections, and other key areas. The connections Kanban view was also improved, including a small 7-day orders chart and overall usability refinements to make daily monitoring and navigation more efficient.
- [IMP] Improved initial product import batching logic. When importing products in batches, the connector now processes all valid products even if some items contain errors (e.g., missing or duplicated SKU). Problematic products are automatically grouped into a separate background job with a clear error message, allowing users to fix issues and requeue only the affected records - without blocking the entire batch.
- [IMP] Improved multi-company product synchronization logic. The connector now validates the company on products during synchronization, ensuring that only products belonging to the integration’s company (or with no company set) are used. A new "Apply Company on Product" option was also added (disabled by default). When enabled, newly created products will automatically inherit the connection’s company, helping maintain clean and consistent multi-company data separation.
- [IMP] Refactored multi-store and language synchronization logic. The connector now provides improved handling of Magento multi-store setups, including more accurate language mapping and synchronization across different store views. These changes significantly enhance stability and data consistency when working with multiple shops and languages within a single Magento instance.
- [IMP] Refactored bundle product import logic and added support for bundles with pricing defined directly on the bundle product. Order import for bundled products is now more accurate and reliable, correctly handling pricing and structure in complex bundle scenarios.
- [FIX] Resolved an issue in the auto-workflow picking validation that could cause an infinite loop when button_validate() returned a wizard instead of completing the transfer. The connector now correctly stops auto-validation in such cases, preventing repeated background job execution while preserving normal validation behavior.
- [FIX] Improved contact handling during order import. If a previously mapped Odoo contact is archived, the connector now ignores the existing mapping and creates a new active contact instead of assigning the archived one to the Sales Order.
- [FIX] Improved translation handling on imported Sales Orders. Order lines now consistently use the customer’s language (not the Odoo UI language), including product names and discount line descriptions (e.g., "Discount for ..."). The connector also includes safe fallbacks when customer language or translations are missing.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 2.0.0 (2026-01-23)
- [BREAKING] This is a major release with backward-incompatible changes. Please review the release notes before upgrading.
- [IMP] Product field mapping engine fully refactored. The connector now supports flexible and extensible product field mappings, including custom Python-based transformation logic configurable directly from the Odoo UI.
- [IMP] Improved handling of missing or custom order items. When an order line references a product that no longer exists or represents a custom item and a fallback product is used, the connector now preserves the original product name and SKU from the e-commerce order in the Sales Order Line description.
- [IMP] Added automatic retry mechanism for Magento 2 synchronization. When importing large datasets (such as configurable products with thousands of variants), the connector can now gracefully recover from temporary connection drops by retrying failed operations.
- [IMP] Improved automatic cleanup of connector-generated logs. Connector logs (including webhook-related entries) are now cleaned up using a dedicated Odoo cleanup mechanism with a configurable retention period, helping reduce database noise and improve long-term performance.
- [FIX] Other improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 1.13.2 (2025-12-13)
- [FIX] Fixed an issue with order status export where multiple rapid status changes could be ignored. The connector now creates a separate background job for each status update, ensuring all changes are exported in the correct sequence to the e-commerce store.
- 1.13.1 (2025-11-27)
- [NEW] Added option to leave the Salesperson field empty on imported Sales Orders. Previously, orders were assigned to Administrator by default. This behavior now matches Odoo's website_sale flow and provides more flexibility for teams that prefer assigning Salespersons manually.
- [IMP] The "Import Orders" setting is now preserved when Sale Integration is disabled, ensuring the selected value is restored when reactivated. Internal automation checks were also refined for more consistent behavior.
- [IMP] Added support for importing payment methods during the initial import. Previously, payment methods were only imported when orders were synced, which limited configuration options. Users can now configure payment terms and journals in advance based on Magento 2 payment methods.
- [FIX] Fixed an issue in the configuration validation wizard that caused validation to fail when using the Integration Queue Job module (VentorTech fork of Job Queue). The wizard now works correctly with the updated job management logic in Odoo 19.0.
- [FIX] Order webhooks now correctly respect the "Orders Cut-off Date" setting. Orders created before the cut-off date will no longer be imported or updated when webhook events are received.
- [FIX] Improved contact matching logic and resolved several edge-case issues that could create duplicate contacts in specific scenarios. Synchronization is now more accurate and consistent.
- [FIX] Corrected an issue where the connector started importing orders automatically after the initial import, even when the "Import Orders" option was not enabled. Order import now follows the configuration strictly and only runs when the corresponding checkbox is activated.
- [FIX] Numerous background improvements and fixes implemented to boost overall performance, stability, and reliability.
- 1.13.0 (2025-10-27)
- [NEW] Redesigned Import Wizard that unifies and simplifies all data import processes. Whether performing an initial setup or importing new records later, users can now follow a clear, step-by-step workflow to bring products, customers, and orders from their e-commerce store into Odoo with ease. This overhaul makes the entire import process faster, more reliable, and beginner-friendly.
- [NEW] Added “Failed Job Notifications” checkbox on user profiles to control who receives alerts about failed jobs. Enabled by default for users with Job Queue Manager rights.
