A few things people usually ask before installing.
How does the module know who clicked the button?
It captures a live photo when a button is clicked and saves it with a timestamp in the chatter. You get visual proof of exactly who was there.
Can an employee accidentally check in twice?
No. Smart logic disables the Check In button if they are already checked in. Duplicate entries are impossible.
What happens if someone unknown stands in front of the camera?
Nothing. Unregistered people won't see any buttons or names, and cannot interact with the kiosk.
Where are the registered face profiles stored?
Face profiles are stored in a dedicated "Face Recognition" tab on the Employee form. HR can manage them anytime without leaving Odoo.
Is this the same as the default Odoo attendance kiosk?
No. This adds a brand-new custom kiosk screen designed exclusively for face recognition. The default PIN/badge kiosk remains available.
Do I need any special hardware or third-party service?
None. It works with any standard webcam or built-in tablet camera natively inside Odoo. No subscriptions or third-party dependencies.
