Record Favorites
Adds an Add to Favorites toggle to the Actions (cog) menu of every backend form view, and a star dropdown in the systray that lists everything you have bookmarked. Click an entry and Odoo opens exactly that record. Favorites are private to each user and work on any model. Odoo natively only saves search filters as favorites, this brings true per-record bookmarking.
What This Module Does
Every day you return to the same handful of records, a key customer, a live project, a recurring order. Odoo's built-in favorites only remember search filters, not individual records, so getting back to a specific one still means searching for it. This module lets you star a record and jump straight back to it from anywhere, from a star menu that is always in reach.
How it works
Install it and both the favorite toggle and the systray star are available everywhere, with nothing to set up.
- Install the module. An Add to Favorites item joins the Actions (cog) menu of every form view, and a star appears in the systray.
- Open any saved record, click Actions, then choose Add to Favorites. The star fills in to confirm it is saved.
- Click the star in the systray at any time to see your bookmarked records, each labelled with its name and model.
- Select an entry to open that record's form, or click the × to remove it from your favorites.
