How do I enable the invoice payment feature in POS? ▼
Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sale, open the Accounting tab, and enable "Enable Invoice Payment". Then select the payment journals (Cash, Bank, etc.) you want available for invoice payments.
Can I pay multiple invoices in one transaction? ▼
Yes. In the invoice list popup you can select multiple invoices from the same customer. The total amount due is calculated automatically and you can pay them all in a single payment.
Are partial payments supported? ▼
Yes. You can enter any amount less than the full invoice balance. The payment will be reconciled for the entered amount and the remaining balance will stay on the invoice as a partial payment.
How are invoice payments shown in the session closing? ▼
The closing popup adds two extra rows: Invoice Payments - Cash and Invoice Payments - Bank. Cash invoice payments are included in the expected cash total (since the money is in the cash drawer), while bank payments are shown for informational purposes only.
