Purchase Smart Recommendation replaces guesswork in replenishment planning with a repeatable, data-driven
workflow. It reads historical sale.order and Point of Sale order lines, computes average daily
demand per product, compares it against current stock on hand and incoming shipments, and surfaces a
ranked list of products that need to be reordered â along with the recommended quantity. From there, a
buyer can generate consolidated Requests for Quotation (RFQs) per vendor without touching a spreadsheet.

How to Install and Configure
1. Install the Module
Upload the module to your Odoo addons path (or via the Odoo.sh branch) and install Purchase Smart Recommendation from Apps. The module depends on the standard Purchase and Sales apps and, where present, Point of Sale data.
2. Configure Forecast Days in Purchase Settings
Go to Purchase → Configuration → Settings and set the Forecast Days field to control how far ahead the system predicts demand. For example, 30 days means the module will recommend enough stock to cover the next 30 days based on your sales velocity.
3. Open the Smart Replenishment Menu
A new Smart Replenishment menu is added directly under the Purchase app. Click Generate Recommendations to trigger demand analysis based on the configured forecast period.
4. Review Demand Prediction in the Kanban View
After clicking Generate Recommendations, the module analyzes your sales history (default: last 90 days) to calculate average daily demand. The Kanban view shows each product needing replenishment with the recommended reorder quantity and forecasted shortfall.
5. Create RFQs with One Click
Select one or multiple recommendations from the list view and use the Create RFQ action. The module automatically groups selected items by their preferred vendor.
6. Review the Auto-Generated RFQ
The system creates consolidated Requests for Quotation grouped by vendor, with recommended quantities and prices pre-filled and ready to send.

- How far back does the system look at sales history?
- By default, the module analyzes the last 90 days of Sale and POS order history to calculate average daily demand. This lookback period can be adjusted based on your business needs.
- What if a product has no sales history?
- Products with no sales history in the lookback period will not generate a recommendation, as there is no demand signal to forecast from. You can create manual RFQs for those products.
- Does it work with POS sales data as well as regular sales orders?
- Yes â the demand forecast uses both Sale (SO) and Point of Sale (POS) order history for accurate demand calculation across all sales channels.
- Is this compatible with Odoo Community edition?
- Yes â the module works on both Community and Enterprise editions, on Odoo.sh and On-Premise. It requires the Purchase and Sales apps. It is not available for Odoo Online (SaaS).
- Can I use this in a multi-company database?
