Advanced PDF Watermark & Pre-Printed Report Templates
The Advanced PDF Watermark & Pre-Printed Report Templates module allows administrators to customize printed PDF reports in Odoo with background layouts, pre-printed formats, or watermarks. It integrates seamlessly into the Reports configuration screen, enabling quick selection and fine-tuning of watermark properties such as size, opacity, and position.
This solution is ideal for organizations that need branded documents, confidential markings, or standardized layouts across quotations, orders, invoices, and other PDF reports.

Advanced Report Configuration
After activating module, Enable Developer Mode, then navigate to Settings > Technical > Reporting > Reports. From the list of available reports, Here we select the Quotation / Order report you want to configure.
In the report form view, you will notice a new configuration option available under the Advanced Properties tab, as shown in the reference image. This section allows you to manage and customize advanced report settings as required.
Configuring the Template Type and Background
In the Template Type field, select Background and attach the required PDF template, as shown in the reference image. This attachment will be applied as the background template for the selected report, ensuring consistent layout and styling during report generation.
Generating the Report from Sales
Navigate to Sales > Quotations, then either select an existing quotation or create a new one. After opening the quotation, click on the Action (gear icon) and select Print > Quotation / Order to generate and print the report for your records.

Here, you can see how the report appears after attaching the background image. Based on your requirements, you can choose and apply a different background template to achieve the desired report layout and presentation.
Configuring the Pre-Printed Layout Template
Select the Template Type as Pre-Printed Layout and attach the required document according to your requirements, as shown in the reference image. This configuration allows the report to align with pre-printed stationery or predefined layouts for accurate and consistent printing.
Report Output Using Pre-Printed Layout
As a result of applying the Pre-Printed Layout, you can view the generated report reflecting the configured layout. This output demonstrates how the report aligns with the attached pre-printed document and displays the final formatted result accordingly.
Applying a Watermark Template to the Report
Select the Template Type as Watermark and attach the required logo. You can configure the Width, Opacity, and Position of the watermark based on your requirements.
In this case, the Width is set to 40%, Opacity to 0.50, and the Watermark Position to Center.Once the configuration is complete, simply print the report to view the watermark applied to the document.
Note: Only image files in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format can be selected for this watermark template.
Report Output with Watermark Configuration Applied
As a result of the above configuration, the report is generated exactly as defined. The logo appears at the center of the page with the specified width and opacity, ensuring the watermark is displayed correctly according to the configured settings, as shown in the reference image.
Updated Watermark Configuration and Report Output
In this configuration, the Watermark Width is set to 50%, the Opacity is set to 0.70, and the Watermark Position is configured as Bottom Center, as shown in the reference image. The generated report reflects these updated settings accordingly.

Here, you can see the result of the applied configuration as shown in the reference image. The report is generated according to the defined watermark settings, accurately reflecting the selected width, opacity, and position.
