Sales Double Validation

The Sales Double Validation module enables a two-level approval process for confirming Sale Orders. Users can set a double validation amount, and if the quotation total is below this limit, the Sale Order is automatically confirmed. Otherwise, approval from the Sales Manager is required. This feature is not available in standard Odoo, but our module provides an easy way to implement double validation for Sale Orders.

Configure Levels of Approvals

From the admin side, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Sales > Configuration > Settings.
  2. Under Quotations & Orders, find Levels of Approvals.
  3. Select Confirm Sale Orders in One Step and save.

Create and Confirm Sale Order

Switch to the user side by logging out from admin and signing in as a user. Then:

  1. Go to Sales. By default, the quotations interface opens. You can also create orders from the Orders menu.
  2. Create a new quotation, fill in all required information, add order lines, and confirm the order from the header.

After confirmation, the order state changes to Sales Order.

Configure Double Approval

From the admin side, follow these steps to enable two-level approval:

  1. Go to Sales > Configuration > Settings.
  2. Under Quotations & Orders, find Levels of Approvals.
  3. Select Get 2 Levels of Approvals to Confirm a Sale Order.
  4. Set the Double Validation Amount — any order or quotation exceeding this amount will require approval from the Sales Manager.
  5. Save the settings.

From the user side, create a new sale order or quotation:

  1. Go to Sales > New.
  2. Fill in all required information and add order lines.
  3. Click Confirm Order from the header.

Second Validation Required

The order state changes to 'To Approve' and the Confirm Sale button appears in the header for the second validation.

If the order amount exceeds the double validation limit set in configuration, an Invalid Operation message appears.

From the admin side, go to Sales, open the relevant sale order or quotation, and confirm the sale.

The order or quotation is now confirmed and the state changes to Sales Order on the admin side.

From the user side, open the same sale order or quotation to see that its state is now Sales Order.
