How to Install

No configuration needed. The dashboard appears immediately after install.

Download & Add

Place sdlc_project_task_dashboard into your Odoo addons path and restart the server.

Activate

Go to Settings → enable Developer Mode → click Update App List.

Install & Open

Install the module, then open Project → Dashboard. Done.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Project & Task Dashboard module.

Q: Does this module work with Odoo Community Edition?
A: Yes! This module is fully compatible with both Odoo 19 Community and Enterprise editions. It depends only on the project and hr modules which are available in both editions.
Q: What happens if hr_timesheet is not installed?
A: The Timesheet Hours chart panel gracefully hides itself. No errors, no empty panels. The dashboard adapts automatically. All other features work perfectly without it.
Q: Is there any configuration required after installation?
A: No configuration needed. After installation, simply navigate to Project → Dashboard and everything works out of the box. Demo data is included so you can see the dashboard in action immediately.
Q: How do I export the dashboard data to Excel?
A: Click the Excel icon in the dashboard header. The export generates a styled .xlsx file with 4 sheets: Dashboard Overview, Project Progress, Recent Tasks, and Department Distribution. Make sure xlsxwriter is installed via pip.
Q: Can I use this on a TV screen for team stand-ups?
A: Absolutely! Press F to enter fullscreen mode. Combined with the 60-second auto-refresh and dark mode support, it's perfect for wall-mounted displays and daily stand-up meetings.
