How It Works
Initialize Access Rule
Navigate to 'TDS Access Control' and create a new rule. Define a clear name and select your target companies.
Assign Target Users
Add the specific users who should be governed by this rule. Multiple users can share the same restriction set.
Configure Restrictions
Select menus to hide, set field rights (Invisible/Readonly), and restrict model actions like Delete or Export.
Set Domain Logic
Apply custom filters so users only see relevant records (e.g., restricted by Salesperson or Warehouse).
Review & Activate
Save the rule and it takes effect immediately. No restart or module upgrade required.
Functional Deep Dive
The TDS Access Engine operates at the core of Odoo's ORM and Web Client. Unlike standard security groups which are additive, our engine allows for subtractive and conditional permissions.
When a user interacts with the system, the engine dynamically calculates the allowed UI nodes and data records in real-time. This ensures that sensitive data like margins or private customer info is shielded at both the interface and database levels.
