Trinidad & Tobago — Overtime Pay from Attendance
Approved clock-in hours, priced and paid with full statutory treatment
Odoo already detects, classifies and approves overtime from clock-ins. This module is the missing bridge that prices the approved hours and pays them on the T&T payslip — with full PAYE, NIS and Health Surcharge treatment and TD4 reporting. No hours are paid twice, and every slip records exactly which lines, hours and rates it paid.
Requirements — part of the T&T suite
This module requires the Trinidad & Tobago — Payroll
module (vedtech_tt_payroll) and Odoo Attendances
(hr_attendance), and installs them automatically as dependencies
(Payroll in turn installs the T&T Accounting localization).
Pricing note: Odoo Apps may display the combined purchase price for this module and its required dependencies. This overtime module is priced at $79; the required Payroll and Accounting modules are priced at $999 and $149.
Overtime, done properly
Odoo owns detection and approval; this module owns the payment — nothing more. All tax behaviour is the payroll suite's, so there is no separate overtime tax logic to drift.
From Clock-In to Payslip
- Approved attendance overtime lines in the pay period are priced automatically
- Uses Odoo's own quantity/timing rules, per-rule multipliers and manager approval — unchanged
- Injected as a dedicated "Overtime (Attendance)" payslip input
- Manual overtime one-offs still work alongside it
Priced Your Way
- Hours × the line's overtime rate × an hourly wage basis you configure
- Calendar-derived, or a fixed monthly divisor — your policy
- Full PAYE / NIS / Health Surcharge treatment via the payroll engines
- TD4 classification handled by the suite — no extra tax setup
Safe by Construction
- Double-pay protection: an overtime line is paid on exactly one live payslip
- Cancelling a slip releases its lines back for a future run
- Frozen provenance: which lines, hours and rates paid — immutable once confirmed
- Confirming re-checks against the live overtime lines — a refused or re-rated line forces a recompute
The make-vs-buy boundary
Community Odoo owns overtime detection and classification (the ruleset engine, multipliers, tolerances and approval flow). What it deliberately does not do is pay it. This module is that payment bridge and nothing more — it owns no tax rules, needs no statutory confirmation, and a database without it is byte-identical. All statutory behaviour lives in the payroll suite, so overtime pay follows the same audited PAYE/NIS/HS path as every other earning.
See It In Action
Frozen provenance — exactly which lines, hours and rates were paid
Priced onto the payslip — straight into GROSS and the statutory base
