Custom Product Field
Custom Product Field for Odoo allows businesses to add customizable product fields directly to eCommerce product pages and collect personalized customer information from the website. Users can create multiple field types such as Text, Textarea, Number, Date, Dropdown, Multi Select, Checkbox, Radio Button, Color, Attachment, Yes/No, and Dependent Fields for product customization. Customers can fill in custom product details, upload files, select options, and submit personalized requirements before adding products to the cart. All submitted custom field information is automatically available in Sales Orders, Delivery Orders, and Invoices. Custom Product Field Workflow
- Go to Website -> Configuration -> Product Field to manage custom fields and groups.
- Create a new custom field by entering the Field Name and selecting the Field Type.
- Configure additional options such as Validation, Placeholder, File Type, File Size, and Required fields.
- Publish the custom field to make it available for products.
- Create custom field groups for organizing multiple product fields.
- Enable "Enable Field on Product Page by Group" from Website Settings.
- Open the product page and add custom fields from the Custom Fields block.
- Customers can fill in custom product details directly from the Shop page before adding products to the cart.
- View submitted custom field details from the Sales Order using the "View" button.

General
Product Fields Configuration
Navigate to Website -> Configuration -> Product Fields to easily manage all Product Fields and Groups from the Website Configuration menu.
Create New Product Field
Enter the Field Name, select the Field Type, enable Required if needed, and publish the field to make it available for products.
Text Field Configuration
Enter the field name, select Text as the Field Type, choose a validation type such as Email, Alphabet, or Alphanumeric, and enable Required if needed.
Number Field Configuration
Select Number as the Field Type, choose validation such as Integer or Decimal, and add a placeholder value for user guidance on the product page.
Enable Group-Based Field Settings
Go to Website -> Configuration -> Settings and enable "Fields on Product Page Based on User Group Permissions" to control custom field visibility by user groups.

Here we can see that the custom field group has been successfully created and is available in the Group field selection.
Color Field Assignment
Select Color as the Field Type and assign it to the created group for organized product customization.
Custom Fields List View
This screen displays all created custom fields in list view for easy management and quick access.
Product Page Custom Fields Block
A dedicated Custom Fields block is displayed on the product page where customers can enter their personalized details.
Field Selection & Creation Wizard
Click Add a Line to select existing custom fields or create a new field using the New button directly from the popup wizard.

Here we can see that all the configured custom fields have been successfully added and are available for product customization.
Shop Page Custom Fields Input
Customers can view and fill grouped custom fields such as Preferred Color, Customer Name, Contact Number, Delivery Date, and Custom Instructions directly from the Shop page before adding the product to the cart.
Validation Message Display
If incorrect or invalid details are entered, a validation message is displayed to ensure correct input format.
Sales Order Custom Field View Button
A "View" button is available in the Sales Order to open a wizard and view all submitted custom field details for the product.
Delivery Order Custom Field View
Custom field details can also be accessed from the Delivery Order using the "View" button.
Invoice Custom Field View
After invoice creation, users can view all related custom field details directly from the Invoice using the "View" button.
Multi Select Field Creation
Create a Multi Select field by selecting the field type and adding multiple option values for product customization.
Attachment Field Configuration
Select Attachment as the Field Type and allow file uploads such as images and PPT files with defined size restrictions if required.
Multiple Field Types Selection on Product
Customers can use different field types such as Attachment, Multi Select, Checkbox, and Radio Button, fill in required details, and add the product to the cart.
Sales Order Attachment Download
In the Sales Order, users can view all selected custom field details, and download uploaded attachments using the view wizard.
Dependent Field Configuration
Enable the Dependent Field option, select the parent field, and define the dependent value for dynamic field behavior.
Assign Parent & Dependent Fields to Product
Add both parent and dependent custom fields inside the product's Custom Fields block.
Dependent Field Display on Shop Page
When customers select a parent field value on the Shop page, the dependent field appears automatically based on the selected condition.
