The Save and Share Cart application enhances the Odoo eCommerce experience by allowing customers to save their shopping carts, reuse them at any time, and share cart contents easily through multiple channels. This module significantly improves customer convenience by enabling users to pause their purchasing journey and resume it later without losing selected products. It also helps increase return visits and conversion rates, as customers can quickly reload previously saved carts instead of rebuilding them from scratch. The sharing functionality simplifies collaboration and decision-making by allowing customers to share their cart with others via URL, QR code, email, or social media platforms.

Save and Share Your Cart Features
Cart Sharing Options:
- Allows customers to share carts from the website cart or saved carts using multiple sharing methods.
View Saved Cart Details:
- Users can view complete details of saved carts, including products, quantities, and totals.
Save Cart from Website:
- Customers can save their current shopping cart directly from the website cart page.
My Account - Saved Carts:
- Provides a dedicated Saved Carts section under My Account to manage all saved carts.
Load Saved Cart:
- Customers can reload a saved cart back into the active website cart with one click.
Configuration-Based Access:
- Admins can enable or disable all cart actions from the backend settings.
Action-Based Cart Management:
- Provides View, Load, Share, and Delete actions for each saved cart.
Delete Saved Cart:
- Customers can delete saved carts that are no longer needed.
Save and Share Your Cart Steps to Configure
- Configure settings to enable the Save Cart and Share Cart features.
- Enable required options such as cart saving, cart loading, and sharing methods.
- Go to the website and add products to the cart.
- View Save Cart and Share Cart options on the cart page.
- Click Save Cart to save the current cart.
- Enter a cart name (optional) and confirm.
- Navigate to Website -> My Account -> Saved Carts.
- View all saved carts with cart details.
- Use action options to View, Load, Share, or Delete saved carts.
- Open a saved cart to view product details, quantities, and totals.
- Load a saved cart into the active cart.
- Clear the existing cart automatically based on the configuration.
- In terms of the admin can configure academic terms.
- Click Share Cart from the cart page or saved cart view.
- Enter a cart name and add a note (optional).
- Choose a sharing method: URL, QR code, Email, or Social Media.
- Send the cart via email and view the confirmation pop-up.
- Preview the email with cart product details.
- Open the shared cart link to load products and proceed to checkout.
- Clear the cart automatically after save, load, or share if enabled.
