A home screen that answers questions
Flip the home from app grid to a per-user dashboard. Every number is a door: KPIs, list rows, chart slices and alerts all open the native Odoo view of the records behind them — with the widget’s filter as a visible, removable facet and the right app activated. Filter the whole report with one period selector: Today, 7 days, 30 days, quarter, year.
Four ways to move — per user
Keep the home-grid launcher, or replace the horizontal menu with the navigation that fits each person — everyone on the same database, each with their own style.
One design language, tuned per person
Six one-click presets restyle light and dark together — each paired with a matching wallpaper — with a live preview while you tune. Then each user makes it theirs: colour scheme (including a Scheduled window that turns dark at night), Compact or Comfortable density, 90–125% interface scale, their font, even the home greeting.
Accessibility, built in
Interface scale, high contrast, reduced motion and readability aids — always available to every user, even when personalization is locked.
You decide who personalizes
One admin switch: let everyone tune their own theme, or enforce a single global look. Backup & Restore moves a whole setup between databases.
Personal touches
A custom home greeting and subtitle, your avatar on the hero, per-user icon size — the workspace greets you.
Announcements, on every home
“Fire drill Friday at 10:00.” “Books close this week.” The people who communicate — HR, safety, operations — get their own Announcements app: publish a message, optionally schedule its window, and it shows as an elegant banner on every user’s home screen. No admin rights, no mass e-mails.
A manager group, not an admin
Hand the “Announcements Manager” right to whoever owns the message — they get the menu, nothing else changes.
Scheduled & self-retiring
Give a message a from/until window and it appears and retires on its own. Per-company in multi-company databases.
Respectful by design
Each user can dismiss the banner on their own screen; a new message brings it back. It never covers the sidebars or the work.
A first impression worth the theme
Opt-in with one switch: the stock login becomes Atrium — a split-screen welcome whose colours derive from your active Aurora preset, with an optional background image and logo. Security-minded: no company identity is exposed on the anonymous page. Using the Website app? The Pro + Website companion carries Atrium onto the website login too. While the switch is off, the login stays exactly stock Odoo.
Take your workspace with you
The home, the dashboard and the navigation adapt to phones and tablets — the same launcher, folders, badges, alerts and search, one thumb away. Real screenshots, straight from a phone.
Reach anything in two keys
Press Ctrl + K from anywhere to search every menu, screen, action and record — customers, orders, invoices — with fuzzy and acronym matching. Type “new…” to create on the spot.

Alt-click a list row to preview the record in a side drawer; Ctrl-click opens it in a new tab.
Smart filter chips
One-click status chips above lists and kanbans, each with a live count — filter without opening the search box.

Home Screen Theme Pro
Premium add-on for Home Screen Theme. Brings the backend dark mode that is otherwise exclusive to Odoo Enterprise to the Community Edition, plus a vertical sidebar, a global command palette, record peek, favorites, theme presets, a branded login and a per-user Theme-settings wizard.
Installation
- Install the free Home Screen Theme base module first (it is pulled in as a dependency automatically).
- Copy the home_theme_pro folder into your custom addons path.
- Restart the Odoo server and click Update Apps List.
- Search for Home Screen Theme Pro and click Install.
Configuration
Global theming - Settings -> Home Screen Theme (administrator):
- Theme Studio - a live preview with one-click colour palettes (Hacienda, Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Plum, Graphite).
- Backend colours - independent light and dark palettes, side by side.
- Backend appearance - rounded corners, soft shadows, the chatter quick-toggle and the sidebar style.
- Login page - opt-in background image and logo for /web/login.
Per-user settings - the Theme settings wizard (the paint-brush button in the "..." menu or the sidebar footer): navigation style, colour scheme (Light / Dark / System) and the interface font. Each choice is saved for that user only.
Usage
- Dark mode - switch Light / Dark / System from the user menu or the "..." bar; remembered per user.
- Vertical sidebar - Classic (a slim rail that expands on hover) or Drawer (an app launcher), per user.
- Command palette - press Ctrl / Cmd + K anywhere to search every menu, screen and action; type "new ..." to create a record.
- Record peek - Alt + click a list row to preview the record in a side drawer; Ctrl / Cmd + click opens it in a new browser tab.
- Favorites, folders, record favorites, list power tools, collapsible chatter and more - see the in-app What's New panel and the shortcuts cheatsheet (press ?).
