Odoo Backend Integration with Authorize.Net

With the intervention of technology everything went digitalized, where with the help of digital devices and strong network connection providing services to customers became effortless. One among those services is providing digital payment service. Just payment activities are done in just a click with the help of backend intervention using Authorize.Net.

Authorize.Net is a United States-based payment gateway service provider, which allows merchants to accept credit card and eCheck payments through their website and over an Internet Protocol connection. It also offers other types of payments like, eCommerce, Point of Sale, Mobile Payment, Phone payments, Billing, Mobile Card Numbers.

Integration of Odoo with Authorize together creates a strong database which makes all payment processes easy just within a click, with less data entry.

This module is compatible with

Payment Operations

Do payment operations within Odoo to Authorize.Net.

Multi-Company & Multi-Currency Support

Configure various payment methods to complete all payment activities as per companies

Tokenization or Direct Card Payment

Payment can be done with or without the use of Card Token details from customers end.

Customer Payment Details

Customers can configure their card / bank details such as either Add / Update or Delete their Credit card token or eCheck details.

Payment Type

Payment activities regarding Sales can be done using Credit card and eCheck details.

Invoice Payment

In Invoice, Invoice Refund Partial Payment processes are done using Credit Cards.

Sales Payment

In Sales, Sales Refund Partial Payment processes are done using Credit Cards.

Void Payment

In Sales Order Void unsettled payment transaction from Authorize.Net.

Link customer from Odoo to Authorize.Net

By clicking on the "Link to Authorize" button, the customer details are sent to Authorize.net for creating "Customer Profile ID" and "Shipping ID".

Users kindly note that For multi company scenario, the customer profile is to be linked individually in Authorize.net.

Users can also update and delete customer profiles on Authorize.Net.
Card & Bank eCheck Account Registration

Add card or bank account information and send it to Authorize.Net to create "Customer Payment ID".

As per PCI compliance the module does not store any debit/credit card or bank account number information.
Authorize Transaction

At the time of Authorize Transaction you can use a Tokenized credit card or even register a new credit card.

The request for authorization is first sent to the bank through Merchant acquiring to determine the card holder's details. On that basis transactions will either be approved or decline.

Once when a transaction will get authorized, you can capture transaction payment directly from the invoice and payment reference will appear in the invoice.
Authorize & Capture Transaction

Select transaction type "Authorize & Capture", select credit card and fill amount (partial/full) and click "Charge Customer". The amount will be transferred from customer account to merchant account.

All Payment details are mentioned (including Authorize, Authorize & Capture and Authorize Reference)

All Payment Transaction details will appear Authorize.Net
Using ECheck

You can make transactions by using the eCheck option instead of Credit Card.

All eCheck payment details will appear/ display in Odoo as well as in Authorize.Net too.
Direct Payment (Without Save credit card)

You can make transactions with Direct Payment without the use of a save credit card.

All payment transactions (without save credit card) details will appear in Odoo.
Direct Payment (Without Save Bank Details)

You can make transactions with Direct Payment without the use of Save Bank Details.

All payment transactions (without save bank details) details will appear in Odoo.
Refund Transaction with Authorize.Net

You can also do a refund transaction with Authorixze.Net. At the time of refund you either select Partial/ Full Refund Amount. Once you tap/click on Confirm button, Refund Payment Transaction is created in Authorize.Net and authorize reference will appear in payment.

All Refund Transaction Payment details will appear/ display on Odoo as well as on Authorize.Net too.
Void Unsettled Transaction with Authorize.Net

You can also void Unsettled Transactions with Authorize.Net. At the time of void transaction , select the “Void Unsettle Payment” button in the Sale order. Thereafter click on confirm button and your Unsettled Transaction is voided in Authorize.Net.

All Void Transaction details will appear on both Odoo as well as Authorize.Net
Sync Saved Payment details with Odoo Backend

Saved Payment details of Credit card / Bank account is showing in Backend partner details form.

Saved payment details will appear on Odoo.

Can we send payment via authorize.net using this module?

No, You can only accept payment through this module. Authorize.net only supports accepting payment.

Does this module save customer's full payment details?

No, As per PCI compliance the module stores payment details in secure token form.

Does this module support partial payment with the same order?

Yes, You can pay partial or full payment with this module from the backend.

Does this module support notification functionality on payment settlement?

No, this module does not support this functionality. You need to customize it.

Although the module has some functionality, it contains numerous bugs that require manual fixing, resulting in extensive code rewriting. Raf had approached us for support, but there was no bug in our module. So we asked him to share his Odoo database link for analyzing the issue reported by him. On analyzing the link we observed that he had changed the module author name from our "Synconics" to his name and also changed the module price. Please check attached database link video and image as a proof of his wrong deeds for violating OPL-1 licensing rules of Odoo app store. With the proof we have provided, it is clear case of PLAGIARISM and quiet obvious that he intends to resell our app under his name. For this reason we stopped the support and didn't reply to his Whatsapp messages.
