POS Hide Open & Close Controls
The POS Hide Open & Close Controls module helps streamline your Point of Sale (POS) workflow by removing the Opening and Closing Cash Control popups that appear when starting or ending a POS session in Odoo.
Features
Hide Opening Control Popup
This feature allows you to skip the Opening Cash Control screen that appears before starting a POS session. Cashiers can directly access the POS interface without entering the opening cash amount, saving time during shift changes or rush hours.
Hide Closing Control Popup
With this feature, the Closing Register popup is hidden when ending a POS session. This helps operators close their sessions instantly without the need to count or confirm cash balances every time.
Screenshot
1.) POS Opening Control Popup
This screen shows the default Opening Control popup that appears when starting a POS session in Odoo. By default, users are required to enter the Opening Cash amount and optionally an opening note before they can open the register.
2.) POS Closing Register Popup
Here we see the standard Closing Register screen that appears when ending a POS session. Users must normally count and confirm cash, card, and customer account totals before closing the register.
3.) POS Open Close Controls Configuration
This image displays the configuration options under Settings - Point of Sale. A new section titled Hide Open Close Controls is added, giving administrators the flexibility to hide either or both cash control popups.
Navigation : Setting → Point of Sale → POS Hide Open Close Controls
4.) POS Interface After Hiding Controls
This screenshot shows the POS interface after enabling the module. As seen, the system directly opens the POS session without showing the Opening or Closing Control popups. This allows the cashier to start selling products immediately, improving speed, efficiency, and overall user experience during daily operations.
