Signup Email Approval For Enterprise
Signup Email Approval protects the Odoo website registration process by requiring visitors to verify their email address before creating an account. The module sends a secure six digit OTP to the entered email address and keeps the Sign Up button disabled until verification succeeds. Each verification code is time limited, single use, and protected against repeated incorrect attempts. Administrators can review every OTP request, monitor its status, resend codes, and track the user created from a successful verification.
Features
Enable or Disable Signup Email Verification
Administrators can activate or deactivate the complete signup email approval process from the INKERP settings page. When disabled, Odoo continues using its regular website signup flow.
Secure Six Digit OTP Generation
The module generates a random six digit verification code for every valid signup request. The OTP is associated with name of the visitor, normalized email address, request time, and IP address.
Resend OTP Support
Visitors can request another verification code when required. Administrators can also resend an OTP directly from the backend verification record.
Incorrect Attempt Protection
Verification attempts are recorded for each request. After repeated incorrect entries, the OTP is expired to reduce brute force verification attempts.
Complete OTP Verification History
Administrators can access all signup verification requests. Records display name of the visitor, email, code, status, sent date, expiry date, and created user.

1.) Enable Signup Email Approval :
Signup Email Approval is enabled by default, but the admin can toggle it on or off via INKERP settings. Disabling it will cause all app features to stop working, while enabling it will restore their functionality.
Navigation : Settings → INKERP
2.) Request an OTP from the Signup Page :
The standard signup form includes a Send OTP button and an Email Verification Code field. After entering a name and email address, the visitor can request a six-digit code while the Sign Up button remains unavailable.
3.) Receive the Signup Verification Code :
The module generates a professional verification email containing six digit OTP of the visitor. The message explains that the code is valid for ten minutes and can only be used once.
4.) Verify the Email and Complete Registration :
After the correct OTP is entered, the form displays a successful verification message with a confirmation indicator. The Sign Up button is then enabled so the visitor can safely create the account.
5.) Monitor OTP Verification Requests :
review all verification requests. Administrators can compare sent, verified, and expired records along with their email addresses, codes, validity dates, and linked users.
Navigation : Settings → Users & Companies → OTP Verification
6.) Review Verification Details and Resend OTP :
Open an OTP verification record to inspect its complete activity history, including verification attempts, IP address, sent date, expiry date, verification time, and created user. The Resend OTP action can generate a fresh code whenever another verification attempt is required.
