Setup Steps

Install
- Install dependencies first: flight, flight_event, flight_pax, uom
- Install flight_ops from Apps menu
- Access via Flights > Operations menu
Configuration
Aircraft Metrics Setup
- Navigate to Flights > Configuration > Aircraft Metrics
- For each aircraft, configure required metrics:
- Go to Aircraft > Metrics tab
- Add metrics (airframe time, engine hours, fuel, etc.)
- Set initial values
- Metric codes and categories are pre-loaded
Operation Codes
Pre-configured operation codes:
- Pre-Flight: Captures initial aircraft state
- Post-Flight: Records final values and calculates changes
Usage
Recording Pre-Flight Metrics
- Open a flight record
- Click Pre-Flight button
- Review/update metrics for the aircraft
- Confirm to save metric entries
Recording Post-Flight Metrics
- Open a completed flight record
- Click Post-Flight button
- Metrics auto-populate with calculated values:
- Airframe/engine hours increment by flight duration
- Fuel consumption can be entered
- Oil levels updated
- Review discrepancies (if any)
- Confirm to save
Viewing Metric History
- Go to Flights > Operations > Aircraft Metrics
- Select an aircraft metric
- View all entries with dates, values, and changes
- Check discrepancy flags for investigation

Automatic Calculations
The post-flight wizard automatically increments metrics when:
- Metric code has auto_increase_flight_phase_id set
- Flight has duration for that phase
- Example: Airframe time auto-increases by total flight time

- Computed Change: Calculated from previous entry
- Tolerance: 0.001 for floating-point comparison
