Works great and saves lots of time with the automatic print scenarios. Would be great to one day be able to add additional print scenario logic through no code method. Currently requires developer to create new ones outside of the standard ones. Overall but, i highly reccommend.

We use DirectPrint to print lot labels, product, pallet labels and more - and it is a crucial part of our internal logistics flow. Being able to trigger printing from server actions allows us to fully automate label printing.

Generally, the VentorTech ecosystem of apps power our internal logistics. All though it adds an additional layer of complexity to our Odoo-setup, it has so far proven to be worth it.

We've been using this module for a while and are very satisfied. Printing is automatic and fast, which saves a lot of time in our warehouse. It’s stable and does exactly what it promises.

The only downside is that testing upgrades on Odoo.sh is difficult, since PrintNode doesn't work properly with a test environment/account. That makes it hard to fully test before going live, which adds some risk during upgrades.

Other than that, it's a great module – highly recommended for anyone who needs efficient printing from Odoo.

Need an automatic printing solution? This app fixes it without requiring an IoT box and allows you to configure all kinds of printing scenario's for your business- and logistic processes at scale.

Available documentation is limited, but most settings speak for themselves and are well explained from the application, also support is responsive. All in all a big fan of VentorTech as a company, offering great solutions for warehouse operations running on Odoo.

Great app! I needed something that replicates the functionality of Odoo Enterprise IoT box for being able to print to remote printers. This app takes care of this and so much more! The plan is to have the connector running on Raspberry Pi in the office and everyone working remotely to have the ability to print to the office printer. Next step is to start using it for label printers in the warehouse. So far, everything works as expected.

I am not an end-user/ customer of DirectPrint, but an Odoo consultant. That said, any customer of ours using Inventory and/or Barcode that I implement: I advise and install DirectPrint. This module is so straight forward yet powerful, it's honestly one of my favorite parts of Odoo despite being an external application. My experience with the VentorTech team have also been solid, with them generally delivering quick turn-arounds on fixes or additions when needed.

Hi, before purchasing I want to know if this app can send 5,000 or 10,000 or any number of pages directly to printer? My use case mainly focus on printing barcodes of received quantity, I want to print any number of barcodes based on received quantity be it 100 or 100,000. Moreover, my current setting for barcode is one barcode on one pdf page.

Yes, our module allows you to print as many pages as you need.

Please note that our module doesn't change reports / documents you print. So, they will be sent to the printer as-is. Make sure that your printer can handle such format. You can do this by downloading PDF file from your Odoo and sending it directly to your printer. If it will work, our module also will be able to print it.

You can test our module on our demo server: odoo.ventor.tech. Also, you can request separate demo instance for your Odoo version using our support portal: support.ventor.tech

Hi Hardik,

Our service is generally compatible with all printers because it prints via the operating system and printer drivers, just like applications such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. So if the printer is set up correctly with the appropriate drivers installed, it should work fine with Direct Print.

This module, in addition to being expensive, has to be paid monthly.

Issues :
1-Responds very slowly
2-Prints the format wrong sometimes
3-Does not work well from android and IOS devices

In the end I solved everything without these problems for FREE with the odoo Virtual IOT module in CE and EE

Our app is compatible with iOS and Android cause it is sending prints not from devices, but from server side. So there are no usage limitations. So will be glad if you can send to our support mailbox examples so we can investigate

Works great and saves lots of time with the automatic print scenarios. Would be great to one day be able to add additional print scenario logic through no code method. Currently requires developer to create new ones outside of the standard ones. Overall but, i highly reccommend.
