Smart Message Template Builder
This template management page allows administrators to create WhatsApp message templates directly inside Odoo by filling out fields like Template Name, Account Link, Message Category, Language selection, and the main Body Text where dynamic variables can be inserted. Once the template is designed, clicking the Submit for Approval button sends the content to Meta's official review process where the status updates through Draft, Pending, and finally Approved stages. The right side activity log panel tracks every action taken on this template including creation time, last modified date, approval status changes, and which user made the changes. This entire workflow happens without leaving Odoo, meaning marketing teams and sales staff can prepare their messaging campaigns entirely within the ERP system rather than juggling between multiple platforms. Technically, the system stores these templates with unique Meta Template IDs so when triggered, it knows exactly which template to call from WhatsApp's servers.
Secure Official API Connection
The configuration page is where administrators establish the secure connection between Odoo and their official WhatsApp Business account using Meta Developer Portal credentials including App ID, App Secret, Phone Number ID, Business Account ID, and Access Token. After entering these authentication details, the Test Credentials button validates the connection before saving to ensure everything is working properly. The module automatically generates a Callback URL and Webhook Verify Token which must be copied into the Meta Portal settings to enable real-time message receiving when customers reply. Once configured, all incoming customer messages are routed through the webhook back into Odoo automatically instead of staying only on the mobile phone. The Default Users field controls which team members receive notifications about WhatsApp conversations, while Allowed Companies restricts access based on company data in multi-company setups.
