End-of-Service Award (Gratuity) â General Rules
- Manage End of Service requests and rewards as per Saudi Labor Law with multi-step approval workflow, HR & Accounting integration, and automated employee archiving.
- 1.Eligibility:
â Employee must complete at least 2 years of service to qualify (except in special cases).
â Applies whether contract is indefinite or fixed-term. - 2. Computation Formula (Article 84)
â First 5 years: Half a monthâs wage for each year.
â After 5 years: One full monthâs wage for each additional year.
â Partial years: Count proportionally (months/days).
â Wage used: The last wage (basic + fixed allowances if included in contract definition of wage). - â
General Formula:
â EOS=(12Ãmonthly wageÃyears (up to 5))+(1Ãmonthly wageÃyears (after 5))EOS = \left(\frac{1}{2} \times \text{monthly wage} \times \text{years (up to 5)}\right) + \left(1 \times \text{monthly wage} \times \text{years (after 5)}\right)EOS=(21Ãmonthly wageÃyears (up to 5))+(1Ãmonthly wageÃyears (after 5)) - 3. Termination vs. Resignation (Article 85)

â 10+ years â Full EOS
