Admin User Switch Functionality
1. Click on the User Menu Icon
Locate and click the user menu icon in the top-right corner of the Odoo interface. This icon is only visible if the current user is an admin and not already switched to another user.
2. Select a Group
In the Switch User dialog, locate the "Select Group" dropdown. Selecting a group filters the list of users based on the selected group.
3. Select a User
After selecting a group (or leaving it as default), locate the "Select User" dropdown. Choose a user from the filtered list.
4. Review Groups of the Selected User
Scroll down to the "Groups of Selected User" section. This section lists all groups associated with the currently selected user.
5. Click the "Switch User" Button
Once you have selected a user, click the "Switch User" button at the bottom of the dialog. The system will switch the session to the selected user.


1. Locate the "Back to Admin" Button
After switching to another user, the "Back to Admin" button appears in the systray (top-right corner of the Odoo interface). This button is only visible if the current session is not the original admin user.
2. Click the "Back to Admin" Button
Click the "Back to Admin" button to restore the original admin session. The system sends a request to the backend to switch back to the original admin user.
3. Page Reloads to Reflect Admin Session
Upon successful switching, the page reloads to reflect the updated admin session. The systray icon reverts to its original state, and the "Back to Admin" button disappears.

2. Select a Portal Group
In the Switch User dialog, locate the "Select Group" dropdown. Select the "Portal" group to filter the list of users who belong to the portal group.
3. Select a Portal User
After selecting the "Portal" group, locate the "Select User" dropdown. Choose a portal user from the filtered list of portal users.
4. Review Groups of the Selected Portal User
Scroll down to the "Groups of Selected User" section. This section lists all groups associated with the currently selected portal user, typically including the "Portal" group.
5. Click the "Switch User" Button
Once you have selected a portal user, click the "Switch User" button at the bottom of the dialog. The system will switch the session to the selected portal user.


Portal User Logged In :
After the session is updated, the portal user is logged into the system.
The interface now displays a simplified dashboard tailored for portal users, showing only the features and data relevant to their role (e.g., orders, invoices, project tasks, etc.).
The portal user has limited access to the system, ensuring they can only view and interact with content specific to their account.And Many More Surprises...
