POS Quantity Min Max and Multiplier
The POS Quantity Min Max and Multiplier module adds product-level quantity control to Odoo POS. It allows you to set Minimum, Maximum, and Multiple (step) quantities for each product, ensuring accurate and compliant sales. The system automatically blocks or warns users when invalid quantities are entered, preventing errors and maintaining consistent selling rules at the POS.
Features
Flexible Min, Max, and Multiple Quantity Control
This feature allows you to define precise Minimum, Maximum, and Multiple (step) quantities for each product in the POS. Cashiers can only select quantities that meet these rules, ensuring correct order sizes every time. It helps maintain packaging requirements, wholesale standards, and accurate product handling during checkout.
Smart Real-Time Validation at the POS Interface
The system automatically checks every quantity entered by the user and instantly validates it against your configured rules. If the quantity is too low, too high, or not in the correct multiple, a clear popup notification is displayed. This prevents invalid entries and ensures that all transactions follow your business policies without manual supervision.

1.) Activate POS Min-Max-Multiple Quantity Feature
This screen shows the Odoo settings where the Min Max Multiple Quantity in POS option can be enabled. Activating this feature allows the POS system to enforce minimum, maximum, and step-based quantity rules during sales. Once enabled, the configuration becomes available on individual product forms.
Navigation : Setting → INKERP → Min Max Multiple Quantity in POS
2.) Set Product-Level Min, Max, and Multiple Quantities
In the product form under the POS tab, users can configure custom quantity rules for each product. Here, you can define the minimum allowed quantity, enable maximum quantity limits, set the maximum allowed quantity, and specify the multiplier step. These settings control how the product behaves during POS order entry.
Navigation : Setting → Products Variants → Product
3.) POS Automatically Applies Minimum Quantity on Product Add
When the product is added to the POS cart, the system automatically fills the minimum allowed quantity (e.g., 10 units). This ensures that cashiers cannot sell less than the required minimum.
4.) POS Adjusts Quantity Based on Multiplier Step
After increasing the quantity, the POS system applies the defined product multiplier (e.g., increments of 5). This ensures the quantity always follows the required step-based increment. Cashiers cannot enter quantities that break the defined multiple rule, ensuring accurate and consistent ordering.
5.) Alert Popup for Maximum Quantity Limit
If a cashier attempts to exceed the maximum allowed quantity (e.g., 30 units), the POS displays a clear Alert popup. The system prevents further quantity increase and informs the user of the allowed limit.
