Duplicate detection
Auto-detects duplicate records across any model using fields you choose (e.g., Email, Name). This helps eliminate manual checks and ensures cleaner data upfront.
Merge functionality
Seamlessly combines duplicate entries into a single, accurate record, helping avoid data confusion and redundancy in your system.
Reference linking
Keeps traceability between original and duplicate records so your audit trails remain intact even after merging.

Installation
To install the module, you need to go to the Apps menu and remove the filter from the search bar and type the module name pragtech_merge_duplicate_data, and click on the Activate button.
Configuration
Navigate to Settings > Users & Companies > Users, then select
the
desired user. Under access rights or permissions, enable the Show
Duplicate Data Configuration Menu option. Once enabled, the
Data
Configuration menu will become visible in the interface.
After navigating to the Data Configuration menu, you will see options such as Model, Fields, Active, and User. Select the desired model, specify the fields to be used for duplicate detection, and assign the configuration to a specific user.
Note: This model is designed for configuring Master data and should be used only before any transactional records are created.
Workflow
Once the configuration is set for a model, an Action button will become visible.
After clicking the Find Duplicate Data action button, the system will display the configuration details along with the list of potential duplicate records based on the selected model and fields.
After selecting the duplicate records from the list, click on the Merge Duplicate Recordsaction to combine them into a single, clean record.
After clicking the Action button, you will have the option to delete or archive the duplicate records. Additionally, you can manually select the original record based on its ID
Import Records:
While importing records using a spreadsheet, if a configuration is
defined for the corresponding model, the system will validate the
records based on the configured fields. Valid (non-duplicate)
records will be imported, while duplicate records will
be
automatically skipped and logged in the configuration
model for
reference and tracking.
