default pricelist-driven prices,but any unauthorized
attempt to change prices triggers a
clear warning and is blocked - both at the user interface and backend level.

Installation
To install the module, you need to go to the Apps menu and remove the filter from the search bar and type the module name pragtech_restrict_sale_purchase_price_change, and click on the Activate button.
Configuration
Navigate to Settings > Users & Companies > Users. Open the user record in which you want to apply the group settings.
Workflow
Users without permission can still create sales orders and purchase orders, but only with the default product price or price from the pricelist.
If a restricted user tries to override the price manually, Odoo will block the action and show a clear warning message.
If the user has access, then the user can change the price of the
sale order line and purchase order line based on the access.
This flow is working the same as the Purchase Order Line as well.

Yes, restricted users can create sales orders as long as they use the default price coming from the assigned price list.
Simply assign the user to the security group Manage Sale Price Change / Manage Purchase Price Change. This group allows price editing on sale order lines / purchase order lines.
It applies to both new and existing sales order lines. Any attempt to edit the unit price is validated in real time.
The restriction is enforced at the backend level. Even if a user attempts to bypass the UI (e.g., using XML-RPC, API, or import), the system will still block unauthorized price changes.
