Provide your Odoo product data to ChatGPT to appear in AI search results and, keep it actual and up-to-date
Description
Many people use ChatGPT to get help with everyday tasks, including searching for products. In order for the information about your products to be complete and up-to-date, you need to regularly provide updated data. This is exactly what this module allows you to do. The module generates product feeds that comply with OpenAI requirements, allowing products from Odoo to appear in ChatGPT search results.
Get ready-made feeds developed according to ChatGPT Product Feed Spec to promote your products in the top AI chat. The data feed is configured using this solution in the familiar Odoo interface, without additional involvement of developers.

Feed Configuration
After installing the module, open the list of feeds to prepare one of them for
your needs. Go to the Website, then the eCommerce menu, and click
Product Data Feeds:
The Odoo ChatGPT Product Feeds module comes with a ready to use data feed
template configured according to OpenAI requirements.
It is recommended to create a copy of the feed using the Duplicate action.
Configure the copied feed to match your business needs, while the original
template remains unchanged and serves as a reference with the default settings.
Template feeds are marked in green in the list for easy identification.
Feed Products
First, determine which products should be included in the data feed. Use the
Item Filter to set the selection filters:
Click Edit Domain to specify which products should be included in the feed.
The Is Published rule is set by default, is mandatory, and is recommended
to remain enabled if products are sold through an Odoo eCommerce website.
Once your filters are set, click Confirm to save the changes. The number of
products included in the feed is automatically recalculated based on the filter domain:
To manage the feed products, click the link with the number of records or use the
Items button at the top of the feed form:
Price Configuration
Before connecting the feed to ChatGPT, configure product prices. Go to the
Settings tab and, in the Prices section, select a Pricelist.
This pricelist is used to determine product prices:
If pricelists are not used, leave this field empty. In this case, the prices
specified in the product records are applied.
To include promotional prices in the ChatGPT data feed, the Sale Pricelist
field also needs to be set. This pricelist must be configured in advance and
define discounted prices for products.
Stock Locations
The ChatGPT Product Feeds solution allows selecting warehouses and stock
locations used to calculate on-hand quantities and product availability statuses.
Go to the Settings tab, Stock section. Select the required
Stock Locations in the field. On-hand quantities for the data feed are
calculated only for the specified locations:
If Stock Locations are not selected, on-hand quantities and availability
statuses are calculated for all company locations.
The Out of stock mode option defines the product availability status when
the product is out of stock at the selected locations:
- Out of stock â the product status in the feed is set to
out_of_stock - Available for order â the product status is set to
preorder
Be aware that the product Continue Selling option impacts the
availability status as well. When it's active, the product is always considered
in stock, regardless of actual stock levels.
Seller Information
Providing seller information is a mandatory requirement of OpenAI for product feeds.
Specify the company, the store URL, and the applicable seller policies, and also
define the number of days according to the return policy:
Product Shipping
The solution allows shipping cost information to be sent to ChatGPT, either for
all products or for specific products in the data feed.
In the Shipping section on the Settings tab, specify a single
shipping cost for all products if this applies to the company:
If a different delivery cost is required for a specific product, refer to the
Product Configuration section.
Technical
Another requirement for ChatGPT product feeds is GZIP file compression:
The Compress option must be enabled.
Feed Columns
The Odoo ChatGPT Product Feeds app comes with preconfigured feed columns
linked to standard fields and follows the core Odoo logic for product management.
If needed, adjust the feed column configuration through the interface by mapping
it to custom product fields.
To manage columns, click the Columns button at the top of the window:
Some columns included in the template are inactive by default. Review the full
list of columns and activate the ones relevant to your feed.
The module allows adding up to three custom product variants to the feed. For
example, add columns for the Fabric product attribute.
Create a new column for the product attribute name:
- Enter the Custom_variant1_category column name
- Select the Text column type
- Enter the attribute name
Add another column, this time for the attribute value:
- Enter the Custom_variant1_option column name
- Select the Special Type column type
- Choose the Product Attribute special type
- Select the attribute
The column name for the category (attribute name) uses the following format:
Custom_variantX_category, where X is the category
number from 1 to 3.
The column name for the option (attribute value) uses the following format: Custom_variantX_option, where X is the option number from 1 to 3 that corresponds to the category.

Product Configuration
The one more level for the ChatGPT feed settings is the product level. Specify the
individual settings for specific products in the product form. Open the desired
product and go to the Data Feeds tab. Options that are related to ChatGPT
are located in the section with the same name:
The Enable Search option controls whether the product can appear in ChatGPT
search results. If this option is enabled, determine whether Instant Checkout
within ChatGPT is allowed using the Enable Checkout option.

To specify shipping costs for a particular product, go to the Shipping
section on the same tab and fill in the Shipping Costs field:
On the Extra tab, specify the product characteristics and the URL links:
Connecting the Feed to ChatGPT
Before connecting the data feed to ChatGPT, click Preview to review the
configuration result:
After configuration completion, copy the feed URL:
Next, sign in to the ChatGPT Merchant account and paste the copied URL into the
appropriate field.
