In reality, there are some products which you list on your e-commerce site for but you have not yet determined a price, or the price may fluctuate depending on various factors.
You would like your customers to send an inquiry from the e-commerce site, and then you will get back to them with a quote.
This app provides you with an intelligent solution, allowing your customers to send inquiries from the e-commerce site and also allow you to send quotes to customers from the back-end.

Why is this app suitable for you?:
1. Customers proactively send inquiries from your website.
2. After calculating the unit price based on the quantity the customer wants to purchase, you can send a quote back to the customer with just one link.
3. Customers can add the products which you have quoted to their cart on the eCommerce site and then proceed to pay as a regular product.
4. Manage the expiration date of the quote.
List features:
1. Enable the product for which you want customers to send inquiries.
- There are two ways to enable the product for which you want customers to send inquiries.
- Set the sale price of the product to 0.
- Enable the 'Can be website quoted' option.
2. Allow customers to submit inquiries from the website.
- After you enable the product for inquiries, customers will see a 'Request Quote' button instead of the 'Add to Cart' button on the product detail page.
- A popup inquiry form will appear when customers click the 'Request Quote' button.
- The customer name, email, and phone information will be automatically filled in if the customer submits an inquiry for another product or if the customer already has a portal account.
- If the customer does not have a portal account (public user), when the customer sends an inquiry, Odoo will not create a new contact partner. This will help prevent the creation of redundant partners.
3. Send the quote to the customer from the back end.
- After the customer sends an inquiry, Odoo will create a website quotation record in the back end.
- From here, you can input the unit price and applicable taxes for the product.
- For example, the product '[E-COM12] Conference Chair (Steel)' has a unit price of $25 and is subject to two types of taxes: '10%' and '10% Adj'.
- The product '[E-COM07] Large Cabinet' has a unit price of $30 and is subject to one type of tax: '10%'.
- You can send this quote to the customer by clicking the 'Send Email' button.
- You can add additional email addresses to receive the quote without needing to create a new contact partner.
- The email will contain a link that allows the customer to view the quote and add the product to their cart.
4. Customers can view the quote on the website and add it to their cart.
- When the customer clicks on this link, they will be directed to the quote page on the website.
- In the 'Quotation Details' section, the products for which you have set a unit price in the website quotation form view will be displayed. If a product does not have a unit price set (unit price = 0), it will not be shown in the 'Quotation Details' section.
- Customers can view product details by clicking the 'View Details' button.
- Customers can see the unit price you have quoted and the quantity they inquired about. They can add the product to their cart and proceed with payment as they would with a regular product.
5. Manage the expiration date of the quote.
- If you set an expiration date in the website quotation form view, the quote will remain valid until that date.
- After the expiration date, customers will no longer be able to access the quotation you have sent.
- And the product details will not be available.
- A scheduler action will run daily to check and remove sale order lines if the quotation has expired. This is useful in cases where customers have added items to their cart but have not completed payment, and the quotation has expired. It helps prevent situations where customers proceed to payment and find that the unit price is outdated and needs updating.
