- Navigate to the specific record or conversation thread in Odoo where you want to send the email.
- In the Messages section, click Send Message to open the focused email composer embedded directly in the thread.
- Fill in the To, CC, and BCC fields as needed.
- Only the recipients listed here will receive the email.
- Record followers will not be notified unless you explicitly add them as recipients.
- Enter the subject and body of your message.
- Attach files if necessary.
- The composer supports rich text formatting for better readability.
- Click Send to deliver the message.
- Recipients will receive it as a real email in their inbox.
- Navigate to the Mail module or the related record’s chatter to view the email you want to respond to or forward.
- Click Reply to respond only to the original sender.
- The system will automatically include the original message content for context.
- Edit your message as needed, then click Send.
- Click Forward to send the original email to a different recipient.
- The forwarded message will include the original content and any attachments.
- Add your own comments if necessary, then click Send.
- All original attachments are preserved when replying or forwarding, unless you choose to remove them.
- Admin will Add the specified user to the “Mail: CRM Cleanup Managers” group.
- In the cleanup settings, enable the auto‑delete feature for selected users who manage CRM hygiene.
- Before that, you were need to set it up automatically in technical: go to technical settings, find automation, select schedule action
- Select CRM cleanup (empty threads)
- Then press Run manually. Then the cleanup log will appear.
- Scope: Automatically deletes CRM leads/opportunities that contain only notifications and no substantive messages or data.
- Default: If no custom period is set, records are removed after 7 days by default.
