User can preview a document WITHOUT DOWNLOADING
If you’re adding the Binary Field to a new code or already working code, then add attachment=True in Python model wherever you wish to add the field.
A button like ( ) will be visible beside all binary fields like shown in the image.
Allow access to preview the attachments for the normal user.

Preview attachments (PDF, images, videos, MS Office files) directly in Odoo without downloading.

PDF, images (JPEG/GIF/PNG/WebP), audio (MP3/WAV), video (MP4/MOV/WebM), MS Office (DOCX/XLSX/PPTX).

Add attachment = True to binary fields in Python models. Also add widget = 'binary_attachment_preview_ms' in the xml view of the fields. A preview button will appear next to file fields.

Everywhere in Odoo - form views, chatter, kanban, portal, and custom binary fields.

Install python-magic library (and libmagic on Linux/macOS, python-magic-bin on Windows).
