PREVIEW BINARY ATTACHMENT (PDF, IMAGE, AUDIO, VIDEO, MS OFFICE)

Preview Binary Attachment saves effort and storage of users as it allows them to preview the document before downloading it. This app can be used in all Odoo modules to display attachments including PDF, image, audio, video, MS Office(xlsx, docx, pptx) file format.

This module relies on an external Python library called 'magic'. Before you install the module, you need to install this Python package first. You can do this using the command provided below.

OS - Linux sudo apt install libmagic1 pip install python-magic
OS - macOS brew install libmagic pip install python-magic
OS - Windows pip install python-magic-bin

HOW IT WORKS
  • arrow If you’re adding the Binary Field to a new code or already working code, then add attachment=True in Python model wherever you wish to add the field.
