1. Customer Credit Limit Setup

Set a maximum credit limit for each customer.

2. Configure Credit Check Behavior

Define how the system reacts when the credit limit is exceeded.

3. Credit Check & Block/Warning

Automatically block transactions or show warnings when limits are breached.

View a summary of customer credit usage and limits.

Show the total outstanding amount owed by each customer.

1. Set Customer Credit Limit

Go to Sales > Orders > Customers, select the target customer.

In the Sales & Purchase tab, under Customer credit limit Infor > Credit Limit, enter a credit limit value and save.

2. Configure Credit Check Behavior

Go to Sales > Configuration > Settings. In the Setting check credit limit tab, enable the Check Credit Limit feature.

This configuration can only be performed by an Admin user.

Select mode:

Show Warning: Display a warning message but still allow confirmation.

Block Sales Order: Prevent confirming Sales Orders when over the limit.

Block Invoice: Prevent posting customer Invoices when over the limit.

Block Both: Prevent both actions when the credit limit is exceeded.

3. Credit Check on Sales Orders

When a user clicks Confirm on a Quotation or Sales Order:

The system performs a credit check based on the configured method.

If the credit limit is exceeded and action is set to Block SO or Block Both, an error message appears and the order cannot be confirmed.

If action is set to Show Warning, a warning message is displayed but the order can still be confirmed.

4. Credit Check on Customer Invoices

When a user clicks Confirm on a Customer Invoice:

The system performs the credit check.

If the credit limit is exceeded and action is Block Invoice or Block Both, posting is blocked with an error.

If action is Show Warning, a warning is displayed but the invoice can still be posted.

5. View Customer Credit Report

Go to Sales > Reporting > Export Customer Credit.

Only user accounts with the manager role can export reports.

6. Quick View of Total Receivable

On the customer form view, a Total Receivable amount is shown. This helps users quickly assess a customer's outstanding balance when setting or reviewing their credit limit.
