1- Inline Edit
- One-click Edit (inline or modal), Save/Cancel, keyboard shortcuts.
- “Edited” badge with tooltip (by, at).
2-Safe Delete (Soft-Delete) & Recovery
- Delete → confirm (optional reason) moves item to Trash with retention (e.g., 30/60/90 days).
- Restore from Trash; Delete permanently (admin-only or policy-gated).
3-Last editor and edit time are tracked
- Immutable audit trail: edited_by, edited_at, plus deleted_by, deleted_at, delete_reason.
- Exportable audit log.
1. Locate the Message
- Go to the Mail module or the chatter of a specific record.
- Find the message you want to edit or delete.
2. Edit a Message
- Click the Edit option.
- Update the content as needed.
- Save your changes — the updated message will replace the original while keeping the conversation context.
3. Delete a Message
- Click the Delete option from the message’s action menu.
- Confirm the deletion.
- The message will be removed from the conversation thread and will no longer be visible to participants.
4. Permissions & Restrictions
- Editing or deleting may be limited by user permissions or time constraints set by the system administrator.
