Create a request

As any user, go to Request > New Request and choose a template for the request

Manage Template

As Admin, from Request Approval root menu, go to Configuration > Form Templates and choose New or choose an existing template

Approve Request

As Approval/Admin user, pick a template and choose Sent Requests

1. Configure access level in each user's setting

Standard: able to send requests, can only check your own request

Approval: can approve/deny requests, can only check your own requests or requests sent for your approval

Admin: can approve/deny requests, manage templates, or check any ongoing requests (sent in for approval)

2. Manage Template

Basic Template configurations (name, descriptions, availability, icon)

Request fields: pick whether each field is optional (default), required or not included in the form. This provides versatility to your request templates. Items and Products are linked to item and product models in odoo system

Required Approvals: Create default approvals that are required for the request Apply Approval Sequence: approve users can only take action in sequence according to the approval list User creating the form can add additional approvals but cannot delete default approvals set in template;

3. Create a request

As any user, go to Request > New Request and choose a template for the request

Fill in necessary fields

Add more approval users if necessary

4. Approve Request

Choose Approve/Deny the request

If all users approved the request, it becomes an approved request

If one user denied the request, it becomes a denied request

The result will be sent through email to the sender
