Installation

  1. Download the module from the Odoo App Store or clone the repository.
  2. Place the module in your Odoo addons directory.
  3. Update your Odoo instance to include the new module.
  4. Install the module through the Odoo interface.

How to use this module:

  1. Navigate to the Hide Unavailable Variants app in your Odoo dashboard.
  2. Partial Visibility: In the module, navigate to the Attribute menu under the Configuration menu. Check the unavailable variant view type and set it to display a custom message. Go to the product variants, and for the variant, check the "Hide on Website" checkbox to display the custom message 'Out of Stock'.
  3. Customizable Messages : To display a custom message instead of "Out of Stock," enter the desired message in the Custom Out of Stock Message notebook under the variant.
  4. Hide Unavailable Variants: In the module, navigate to the Attribute menu under the Configuration menu. Set the unavailable variant view type to 'Hide'.Then, go to the Attributes and Variants notebook and configure the variant to be hidden from the website.
  5. Cancel Out Unavailable Variants: In the module, navigate to the Attribute menu under the Configuration menu. Set the unavailable variant view type to 'Canceled out'.Then, go to the Attributes and Variants notebook and configure the variant to be crossed out on the website.
  6. Alternative Product Suggestions: In the module, navigate to the Products menu. Under a product, go to the Sales notebook and select the variants for Suggestions.

Yes, you can absolutely use this app with dynamically created variants. It fully supports hiding variants, cancelling them out, and displaying custom messages for those variants as needed.

Hello Michaël,

You can define non-existing or unavailable attribute combinations directly from the product configuration in Odoo.

To exclude a specific attribute combination from the website, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Product form.
  2. Open the Attributes and Variants tab.
  3. Under the Excluded Attribute Values section, select the attribute combinations you want to exclude.

For example:

If your product is Bag with attributes

  • Color: White, Black
  • Size: S, M, L

You can exclude L for White. As a result, when a user selects White on the website, L will automatically be hidden or excluded according to your configuration.
