Advanced Gantt View Base
Advanced Gantt View Base is a framework module that adds an interactive Advanced Gantt view for planning project tasks with a left-side task grid and a right-side timeline.
It provides task and subtask management, zoom and scaling controls, sorting options, import and export tools, a settings panel, quick info support, and drag-and-drop timeline updates.
Configure the view on the `project.task` model and give teams a faster way to create, organize, and adjust schedules directly from a Gantt interface.

Advanced Gantt View Configuration
Create a dedicated Advanced Gantt view for the `project.task` model and define the XML architecture needed to render the timeline layout.
Grid and Timeline Planning
View task details in the left grid while the right side shows the timeline, helping teams manage schedules and progress from one screen.
Task and Subtask Management
Add, edit, delete, and organize tasks or subtasks directly from the Gantt interface and immediately see them appear in the timeline.

Step 1: Create A New View For Project Tasks
First create a new view for the project.task model.
Step 2: Select The Project Task Model
Select the project.task model so the Gantt view works on project tasks.
Step 3: Choose The Advanced Gantt View Type
Choose the custom Advanced Gantt view type for this model.
Step 4: Add The Advanced Gantt XML Architecture
Paste the Advanced Gantt XML architecture code here to configure the view.
Step 5: Link The New View In The Action
Link this new view in the action so users can open the Gantt from Tasks.
Step 6: Open The Task List In Advanced Gantt
Open the task list and switch to the Advanced Gantt view.
Step 7: Review The Grid And Timeline Layout
The left grid shows task details and the right side shows the timeline.
Step 8: Manage Tasks From The Gantt Grid
Use these options to create, organize, edit, or delete tasks from the Gantt grid.
Step 9: Create A New Task
Click Add Task to create a new task.
Step 10: View The New Task In Timeline
After creating that particular task will be shown here with timeline.
Step 11: Create A Subtask
Click the plus icon to create a subtask under an existing task.
Step 12: View The Subtask In Timeline
After creating sub task will be shown here with timeline.
Step 13: Edit Task Details
Click the edit icon to open and update task details.
Step 14: Delete A Task From The Schedule
Click the delete icon to remove a task from the schedule. Also make sure that no task is allocated in timesheet when deleting.
Step 15: Change The Timeline Scale
Use the Scale menu to change the timeline between Hour, Day, Week, Month, Quarter, and Year views.
Step 16: Sort Tasks By Different Criteria
Use the Sort menu to organize tasks by name, start date, or progress.
Step 17: Import Project Data
Import project data to quickly load tasks into the Advanced Gantt view.
Step 18: Export The Gantt In Multiple Formats
Use the Export menu to download the Gantt in PDF, PNG, Excel, JSON, XML, Primavera P6, or iCal format.
Step 19: Jump To Today
Click Today to quickly move the Gantt timeline to the current date.
Step 20: Zoom To Fit All Tasks
Click Zoom to Fit to automatically adjust the timeline and show all tasks clearly.
Step 21: Open Full Screen Planning View
Click this button to open the Gantt view in full screen for a wider planning area.
Step 22: Use The Gantt Settings Panel
Use the Settings panel to customize the Gantt view, including tooltips, quick info, progress display, holidays, deadlines, and colors.
Step 23: Drag And Resize Tasks
Drag a task to change dates, resize it to adjust duration, and update planning quickly.
