This module works across all Odoo modules and allows users to apply filters directly in the chatter without changing the existing workflow.
Filter by Message Type

User-Based Filtering
It provides the flexibility to view chatter for all users or filter records for a specific user, making it easy to track individual activities.
Date Range Filtering
Users can select a specific date range using a calendar to display chatter records within that selected period only.
Combined Filter Functionality
Multiple filters can be applied together to get more accurate and meaningful results for better analysis.
Instant View Update
The chatter updates instantly based on applied filters without requiring any page reload.
Overview
Advance Chatter & Message Filter
Advanced Chatter & Message Filter enhances the default Odoo chatter by introducing powerful
and user-friendly filtering capabilities across all modules. It allows users to
quickly access relevant conversations, logs, and activities without manually scrolling
through long chatter histories.
This module provides structured filtering options such as message type, user-specific filtering,
and date range selection, enabling better visibility, faster tracking,
and improved productivity. Whether it’s tracking user actions, reviewing system logs,
or analyzing communication, this module simplifies the entire process.

Configuration
Open Any Record :
- Navigate to any document (e.g., Sales Order, Invoice, Purchase Order) where chatter is available.
Access Enhanced Chatter Filters :
- In the chatter section, new filter options will be visible such as message type, user filter, and date range.
Select Message Type :
-
Choose the type of records you want to view:
- All Messages
- User Logs
- System Logs
- Activities
Apply User Filter :
- Click on “All Users” to view all records
- Use “Filter by User” to select a specific user from the list
Select Date Range :
- Click on the Date Range option
- Choose start and end date from the calendar
View Filtered Results :
- The chatter will automatically update and display only the records that match the selected filters.
