designed to make pricing more intelligent
and flexible. With this feature, users can
effortlessly configure price-based quantity
rules and automate the quantity calculation
directly in the POS interface ensuring
smoother transactions and fewer manual
errors.

Configurations
Enable Unit of Measure:
Go to Settings
Inventory
Enable the “Unit of Measure” feature to allow products to use various measurement units instead of standard units and also enable the product “Variants” feature.
Go to Settings
Inventory
Configurations
UoM Categories.
Configure the Unit of Measures (UoM)
under UoM Categories quantities for
products
in these categories will be
calculated automatically based on
price.
Enable POS Price Based on Quantity :
Go to Point of Sale
elect the desired POS terminal
Click on “Edit”.
Enable the “POS Price Based on Quantity” option.
Configure Product Variant :
Navigate to Point of Sale Products Product Variants.
Open the product variant for which
you want to enable this feature.
Under the General Information tab,
check the “Product Price Based Qty”
option and save the changes.
Using the Feature in Point of Sale :
Open the Point of Sale session and select the desired product.
Click on the “Price Quantity” button displayed below, that’s open the “Price Based Qty” wizard.
Enter the desired amount the system
will automatically calculate the
quantity based on
that price and display it in the
order line.
Proceed to Payment as usual; Odoo
will process the transaction
seamlessly.
Validation Errors :
If the selected product’s UoM is not listed under the UoM Categories menu, and the user clicks the “Price Quantity” button at the POS level, a validation pop-up will appear with the message: “Only select products from the Weight UoM category”.
If the “Product Price Based Qty” option is not enabled for a product variant, and the user clicks the “Price Quantity” button at the POS level, an error message will appear: “This product variant does not have the Price Qty Based process enabled. Please enable it to use this feature”.
If the variant configuration is not available and Price Based Qty” option is not enabled for a product, and the user clicks the “Price Quantity” button at the POS level, an error message will appear: “This product does not have the Price Qty Based process enabled. Please enable it to use this feature”.
NOTE: If the “Variants” configuration is enabled in the product settings, the “Product Price Based Qty” checkbox becomes visible at the product variant level and can only be configured from there.
