What this module does
AI Document OCR and Data Extraction reads your documents and turns them into Odoo records. Point a folder at any target model, drop in a PDF, scan or photo, and the fields are read out and mapped onto the record, ready for one-click creation after a quick review.
Two engines work together. A free local template engine recognises a known layout by its keywords and pulls values with anchor or regex rules at no per-document cost. An optional AI engine, using your own Anthropic or OpenAI key, reads documents with no text layer and maps their fields automatically. It extracts header values and line items, and never creates anything without showing you the values first.

How it works
1 | Point a folder at a model On any folder, set an extraction profile: the target Odoo model, an optional AI provider and the fields you care about. |
2 | Drop in a document Upload a PDF, scan or photo, or email it to the folder alias. A known layout is read for free; anything else goes to the AI. |
3 | Review the mapped fields The header values and line items appear mapped to the model fields, each marked resolved or needing a look. Fix anything you want. |
4 | Create the record One click builds the vendor bill, invoice or any target record, lines and all, using your own access rights. |
