Hide Full Chatter
The
Hide Full Chatter (Global Chatter Control) module provides a secure and
centralized solution to completely disable and hide the Chatter panel
across the entire Odoo system. Designed to enhance Odoo’s native access and interface
control framework, this module allows administrators to globally hide the full
Chatter for selected users or companies—without modifying core code.
This module enforces a system-wide Chatter restriction, removing the entire Chatter
section—including messages, notes, activities, followers, attachments, and history—from all
modules and all models. Once enabled, the Chatter is completely hidden throughout the
system, ensuring a clean, distraction-free interface and eliminating internal
communication features where they are not required.
Restrictions can be applied user-wise or company-wise, making the module ideal for
organizations that require strict communication policies, read-only or
operational-only user roles, or compliance-driven environments. By
disabling Chatter globally, administrators can prevent unnecessary discussions, attachments, and
message logging across the system.
