Stop Auto Add Lot
The Stop Auto Add Lot module enhances inventory control in Odoo by preventing the automatic assignment of lot or serial numbers during delivery order processing. Instead of relying on system-generated allocations, users can manually select the appropriate lot or serial numbers, ensuring accuracy and flexibility in stock handling.
Features
Prevent Auto-Assignment
This feature allows users to disable the automatic assignment of lot or serial numbers when confirming a sale order. By stopping the system from pre-filling these values, it eliminates the risk of incorrect or unintended lot allocation.
Manual Lot/Serial Selection
Once auto-assignment is disabled, users gain the flexibility to manually select the appropriate lot or serial number for each product during the delivery process.
User-Friendly Operations
The module integrates smoothly into the existing sale order workflow without adding complexity. Users can easily manage lot and serial number selection within familiar interfaces, reducing the learning curve and improving efficiency.
Screenshot
1.) Quotation Creation
A quotation is prepared with product details, quantities, and pricing. This step initiates the sales workflow and sets the foundation for inventory and delivery operations.
2.) Delivery Order Overview
The delivery order reflects reserved quantities with automatically assigned lot/serial numbers. The system pre-fills values based on available stock, streamlining the default process.
3.) Detailed Operations with Auto-Assigned Lot
The lot/serial number is already filled in the detailed operations view. This confirms that the system has automatically allocated inventory based on internal rules.
4.) Lot/Serial Selection with Add Line Option
Users can see assigned lot details along with the option to add or modify entries. This provides flexibility even when auto-assignment is enabled.
5.) Configuration: Stop Auto Add Lot/Serial
A dedicated setting allows enabling or disabling automatic lot/serial assignment. Activating this option ensures that no values are pre-filled during delivery operations.
Navigation : Inventory → Configuration → Settings → Stop Auto Add Lot/Serial
6.) New Quotation After Configuration
A fresh quotation is created after enabling the configuration. This ensures the updated behavior is applied in the subsequent delivery process.
7.) Delivery Order Without Auto Assignment
The delivery order shows quantities without any lot/serial numbers pre-filled. This confirms that automatic assignment has been successfully disabled.
8.) Detailed Operations Without Auto-Fill
Lot/serial fields remain empty in the operations view, allowing users to decide how inventory should be allocated. This provides complete control over stock selection.
9.) Manual Lot/Serial Entry Interface
Users can manually add lot or serial numbers using the available input options. This ensures accurate selection based on business-specific needs.
10.) Final Manual Lot/Serial Assignment
The selected lot/serial number is entered and confirmed for the product. This completes the process with precise control, improving traceability and inventory accuracy.
