The Multi Package Inventory Report enhances your Odoo Inventory system by providing accurate and dynamic packaging-level tracking for each product. It ensures that only the valid packaging configurations (marked with “Packaging”) are considered during report generation, improving stock accuracy and warehouse control.

This feature helps inventory managers to monitor quantities across multiple packaging units (like boxes, cartons, and bundles) while maintaining data consistency between packaging and standard units of measure.

Client Request Process

• Go to Inventory Configuration Inside the Products Select Units of Measure & Packagings

• Enhanced the packaging configuration to ensure precise tracking and calculation of inventory based on valid packaging types.

• Introduced Sequence for setting priority, and Packaging to mark valid packaging.

• Open Inventory → Products and select any product.

• Under the Sales tab, inside Upsell & Cross-Sell, go to the Packaging section.

• Add the desired packaging (e.g., Box of 8 units) and ensure the selected packaging has “Packaging” enabled — only those are considered in the report calculation.

• Go to Inventory → Reporting → Multi Package Inventory. The wizard will pop up allowing you to select Products.

• On clicking Print, you’ll get a detailed inventory report with product-wise packaging breakdown calculated as per their quantity available ÷ packaging quantity.

• Only packaging marked as “Packaging” and linked in the product’s Sales tab are considered during calculation.
