Even if Odoo data is lost or the system faces issues, important documents remain safely stored and accessible in Google Drive. The integration supports attaching documents to specific Odoo models or storing them without model restrictions, based on configuration. It ensures centralized document management, improved data safety, and direct access to files from Odoo.

Google Drive Storage Integration Features

Folder Mapping & Creation:

  • View mapped folders, define folder name, select Google Drive connection, choose an Odoo model or keep it unrestricted, and create the folder directly in Google Drive.

Google Drive Storage Dashboard:

Google Drive Storage Integration Steps to Configure

  • Configure settings to enable Google Drive access and set bulk export limits.
  • View the Google Drive Storage Dashboard with files, folders, and a storage usage pie chart.
  • Go to Google Drive Connections to add or manage connections.
  • Create a new connection by entering the necessary details and authenticating with Google Drive.
  • Save the connection and verify it in the Google Drive Connector view.
  • Confirm the connected Google Drive account under active connections.
  • Navigate to Mappings Folder to view existing mapped folders.
  • Create a new folder by entering a folder name, selecting a connection, and choosing an Odoo model or unrestricted option.
  • After creating a folder, use the Export, Attach Files, or Open in Cloud options.
  • Attach product-related documents from the product document section.
  • Attach files from Sales -> Products -> Product Variants -> CRM -> Order -> Invoices -> Vendors using Google Drive.
  • Verify the connection, select the folder, and confirm attached documents.
  • Add documents using Export Attachments or open the folder directly in Google Drive.

  • Access all synced files under Mappings -> Files.
  • View file details and download files if required.

Create Folder Mapping

1. Enter the folder name to be created in Google Drive, select the Google Drive connection used to create and manage the folder, and choose an Odoo model to attach related documents, such as Products or Sales Orders.

2. Leave the model empty to allow attachments from any path without restriction, then click Create Folder to create the folder.

Folder Actions

After the folder is created, options to Export, Attach Files, and Open in Cloud are available.

Product Document Attachment

Allows product-related documents to be attached and viewed from this section.

Attach Documents from Product Variants

Open Sales, then Products, and navigate to Product Variants to attach documents by selecting Google Drive as the attachment source.

Verify Connection and Attachments

Verify the created connection, select the folder to view previously attached documents, and click Action to complete the process.

Export and Open in Cloud

Add attachments using Export Attachments, and click Open Folder in Cloud to access the folder directly in Google Drive.

View Attached Documents

Click here to view all documents attached to the record.
