Odoo Cookie Banner is a pop-up window that allows your website visitors to provide cookie consents for various cookie types on Odoo websites. After making a choice, the visitor can change it by clicking on the cookie icon.
The solution comes with the Google Consent Mode extension to update the visitors' cookie consents by sending requests to Google via the gtag.js script.

Description and Activation
Once installed, this module extends the default Odoo cookie bar with a Customize button that opens a dedicated preferences banner. This banner allows your website visitors to select their allowed cookie types, automatically updating Google Consent Mode values accordingly.
Cookie Banner Activation
To activate the cookie banner, navigate to your website settings, find the Tracking and SEO section, and set the Consent Manager option to Odoo Cookie Bar
Google Consent Mode
The Odoo Cookie Consent Banner module includes the Odoo Google Consent Mode integration, allowing you to manage Google consent types directly within Odoo.
It supports Google Consent Mode v2 parameters in accordance with the official Google documentation (https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/13695607):
ad_user_data— sets consent for sending user data to Google for advertising purposesad_personalization— sets consent for personalized advertising

The module maps Odoo cookie types to Google Consent Mode parameters as follows:

Odoo Cookie Banner
Your website visitors can grant all cookie types by clicking the Allow all button or refuse all non-essential cookies by selecting Only Essentials.
To choose which cookies to allow, visitors can click Customize. This opens the banner where they can toggle specific cookie types.
Once a visitor saves their personalized cookie choices, a dedicated cookie icon appears in the bottom corner of all webpages. Clicking this icon allows users to change their cookie preferences at any time.
Banner Configuration
The Odoo cookie banner is customizable directly from the backend user interface, eliminating the need for custom web development.
How to Configure the Cookie Banner
Activate Developer Mode, navigate to Website — Configuration — Websites, and select your website. Under the Cookies Banner tab, the following configuration sections are available:
- Cookie Types
- Cookie Bar
- Cookie Banner
- Cookie Icon
- Buttons
Cookie Types Settings
The purpose of the Cookie Types section is to set default values, deactivate, or make certain cookie types mandatory.
Cookie Bar Settings
Settings in the Cookie Bar section allow you to customize the main message displayed on the Odoo cookie bar and update the URL link for your Cookie Policy.
Cookie Banner Settings
Specify a custom title and detailed description for the banner in the Cookie Banner section.
Cookie Buttons Settings
The Buttons section allows you to customize the text of the buttons displayed on both the cookie bar and the cookies banner
Cookie Icon Settings
Depending on your website's theme and style, customize the floating cookie icon using the following options:
- Image — upload a custom image for the cookie banner icon. To dynamically adjust its color, use SVG format.
- Color — choose the color of the cookie icon (works only with SVG images).
- Size — set the icon size in pixels.
- Position — choose whether to place the icon in the bottom-left or bottom-right corner of the webpage.
- Margins (Bottom, Left/Right) — adjust the distance from the bottom and side edges of the screen in pixels.
