7 star backend theme
Before purchasing this backend theme that I had my eye on, I tested demos of most backend themes available in the app store. Personally, I believe this one is undoubtedly the best—simple yet sophisticated. The author not only considers and fulfills buyers' needs but also continuously refines and improves the theme. Not to mention, it is already highly user-friendly and powerful. I can confidently say that this purchase was absolutely worth it and leaves no room for regret.
Good themes
The theme is very good and looks great overall. It’s well-designed and easy to use. However, it would be even better if there were options to change the icons of the settings menu and to resequence (reorder) the menu items. Thank you very much for the excellent work!
I’ve tested many modules that say they support multitasking and most of them reload the page or lose what I was working on. Sometimes even Odoo’s own bookmarks work better.
Omux does something simple: just use Ctrl+Click to open anything in a real browser tab. And that’s it — no issues, no lost context.
This should have been the standard all along.

Print layout is broken
It's good, I like several things that were implemented in the theme, but there's a major issue: when trying to print the page from the browser, everything is misaligned compared to the native behavior, which works perfectly.

Odoo has a smart native print mechanism (via Ctrl+P) that renders forms and lists beautifully — and frankly, we had overlooked this in the custom layout. While printing from the browser is a rare use case, it still matters — and your comment helps us see the gap.

Web-like multitasking query
I’ve tried several backend themes that claim to support “multi-tab” navigation, but so far, most of them have been disappointing. Either the context gets lost when switching tabs, or the entire screen reloads unexpectedly. Sometimes it even behaves worse than Odoo’s own bookmarks.
I noticed that Omux says “Web-like multitasking with Ctrl+Click”. can you clarify what that means? Is this really different from those other fake multi-tab implementations?

We've tried many of those themes too :)
Most attempt to simulate multi-tab behavior — but often end up reloading pages, losing context, or interfering with history. In some cases, they feel even less reliable than Odoo’s native bookmarks — as you mentioned.
Omux takes a different path.
Hold Ctrl (or Cmd on MacOS) and click any menu, record, or kanban card. It opens a real browser tab — no reload, no tricks. Full context preserved.
That’s what we mean by “Web-like multitasking.”
It’s the native, reliable way — just like how your browser always worked.

Hoping it plays well with real-world setups
We’re actively testing Omux right now — the UI looks polished, and more importantly, technically well-thought-out.
Most backend themes we’ve tried either look nice in a demo but fall apart in production, or they break as soon as you apply even a minor patch upgrade. Omux feels more stable — the layout sticks to Odoo’s native logic, and performance hasn’t been an issue so far.
One thing I’m really hoping to see (maybe in the roadmap?): Global record search, not just menu search. That’s one of the biggest pain points we face across large databases — especially when using third-party modules that scatter data across models.
Honestly, most of the issues we’ve had with third-party modules don’t show up in the demo — they only reveal themselves once deployed: subtle JS errors, incompatibility with newer versions, or features that don’t play well with custom views.
Omux gives a strong impression of being built with those realities in mind. If that holds true in deployment, we might standardize on this.
And finally — thanks to the author for inviting feedback. It shows this isn’t just a product, it’s a living system. 🙏

You’re absolutely right: global record search is one of the most requested features — and one of the hardest to build properly.
Not because it’s technically complex to make something work, but because it’s deceptively easy to build something that works halfway, breaks on permissions, leaks data, or creates silent bugs with custom models.
That’s why I haven’t rushed it. If Omux includes global record search, it needs to:

Odoo already has a solid foundation — the real work is in shaping the experience around it: smoother, more focused, more human.

Message to future buyers
This product, with its approach, is different in many aspects. I must say that I created this product with a very stoic mindset, where I don't go overboard. I focus on balancing utility and long-term sustainability. This product doesn't focus on changing layouts for the sake of being different or creating many options for style customization - to me, those aren't important and can lead to a slow and buggy product later on. I focus on what matters most: UX and performance. The styles are kept modernly sufficient for a business environment.
The advantages this module will create are as follows:
1. Technical aspects:
* Minimizes technical debt
* Low maintenance and upgrade costs
* Less risk of bugs when Odoo updates
* No worry about code becoming outdated quickly
2. Business aspects:
* Customers don't have to worry about upgrading to new Odoo versions
