For message/notes editing use the tool Message / Note Editing
This is the tool to simplify work of Odoo administrators while revising emails. With the app such users might delete messages right from channel and thread interfaces.

In order to delete a message a user should just press the trash icon and confirm this action

For security purposes the right to remove messages belongs only to the users with the right 'Settings > Administration'

The trash icon doesn't appear, cannot delete any message.

Hello Emanuel,

we are sorry that you faced issues in using our tools.

Simultaneously, we should mention that the app definitely works. We have just checked the features in a few of our Odoo 12 environments, including Enterprise and Community editions.

Make sure that the app was correctly installed, and all its assets have been imported. Try also to clear the cache before checking the features. As general advice, we should recommend updating the Odoo core and making sure that none of other third-party/custom modules influence this module behavior.

Although this app is distributed free of charge, we also provide basic support for that. In case of any bugs detected, everyone is welcome to report to us using https://faotools.com/s/rui4nv
