RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

The return process in Odoo might take more time than expected! But with Ksolves RMA App, the return and refund process is as easy as a few clicks! Odoo Return Merchandise Authorization app helps the user to accept, return, and refund the products that the customer has purchased from the store. In addition to that, users can also replace(or, exchange) a certain product with another. RMA App for Odoo ERP also creates the return receipt, delivery order, and adjusts stocks according to the number of returns & refunds. In the RMA v15, Multi Warehouse feature has been added. Also, when a user gets a refund, he/she can view the T&Cs along with the refund amount & subtotal.


Website and Backend Support

  • Customers can quickly generate an RMA request directly from the website.
  • If not from the customer’s end, the backend user can generate the RMA request. Solves the problem of customer service executives regarding the return/refund requests.

RMA Process

Once an order/purchase has been made or the delivery of an inventory has been done, their RMAs can be made. One can create them from the RMA menu & also the corresponding menus such as Sales/Purchase/Inventory Transfer.

    When a user is Refunded For Any Product, he/she can see the Subtotal & Refund Amount In the RMA Form.

    The RMA can be used differently based on who is accessing it. While the Users can apply for e Return, the approval power relies on the Managers.

Important Instructions

  • --> To Implement The Multi Warehouse & Multi Currency Features, Users Need To Enable These Options From The Settings.
  • --> In case of Refund, the Invoice must be generated & the bill must have been paid previously.

To create a RMA from Sale order, the receipt must be in done state.

To create a RMA from Purchase order, the receipt must be in post state.

If you want to create a RMA from Transfers, the delivery must be in done state.

If you want to create an RMA directly then your deliveries must be in done state (Sale,Purchase, Transfers).

Request RMA from portal

Portal users can also request RMA of those Sale order whose deliveries are in done state and have access from admin.(For Sale Order only.)

Block customer product return or exchange if more than the return/exchange period

Hi there,

I wonder if this add on has the feature to block the product return/exchange if the return date is more than the return/exchange period or policy, especially for portal RMA. 

Can i get the access to the demo page? We are looking for this kind of RMA and i do hope this one has the blocking feature as mentioned above.

Thanks for reaching out to us,

We have gone through your requirement and in the RMA module we are managing the RMA operation in two phases. The first phase is that we have given the option to create the RMA if the delivery of the Sale Order is in Done state.

And then in the second phase, the RMA can be confirmed or validated by the admin after checking the details. And the working is same for Portal users also, once they create the RMA then the admin user will be responsible for Conifrmation and Rejection of that RMA.

So the admin user will be able to Confirm or Reject the RMA based of the Dates. But if you want it automatically then we can discuss your requirement in details, you can share your detailed requirements at odoo.helpdesk@ksolves.in.

In the current version RMA does not support multi company feature but it is already in our bucket list and we will implement the multi company feature in the future releases of RMA.
