Hide Duplicate Button Specific Model allows administrators to hide the Duplicate action for selected Odoo models on a user-by-user basis. It prevents unauthorized or accidental record duplication while keeping the Duplicate option available for models that are not restricted.

User-Wise Duplication Control
Configure duplication restrictions separately for each user by selecting the models they are not allowed to duplicate. This provides precise control without affecting the permissions of other users.
Automatic Duplicate Action Restriction
The Duplicate option is automatically hidden for restricted models when the assigned user selects records. Unrestricted models continue to support normal record duplication without changing the standard workflow.

1.) Configure User Duplication Restrictions
Select the Odoo models that a specific user should not be allowed to duplicate. Restrictions can be configured independently for every user based on their responsibilities and access requirements.
Navigation : Settings → Users & Companies → Users
2.) Duplicate Action Available for Unrestricted Models
When the current model is not included in the userâs restricted model list, the Duplicate option remains available under the Actions menu. The user can select one or multiple records and create copies normally.
3.) Restrict Journal Entry Duplication
Add the Journal Entry model to the selected userâs duplication restrictions. Because customer invoices and vendor bills are managed through the Journal Entry model, this restriction also controls their duplication permission.
Navigation : Settings → Users & Companies → Users
4.) Duplicate Action Removed for Restricted User
After Journal Entry is added to the restricted models, the Duplicate option is automatically removed from the Actions menu for that user. Other permitted actions remain available and continue to work normally.
