INVENTORY BACKDATE

Backdate scheduled/done dates for pickings, scrap, and inventory adjustments with optional/mandatory remarks, including Mass Assign. Dates and remarks propagate to stock moves and valuation layers, and list views reflect the corrected effective dates.

1- Confirm picking orders (incoming / delivery / internal) with a custom backdate

When backdate is not enabled, users cannot confirm Schedule date with custom date.

After selecting allow backdate, lets you validate receipts, deliveries, and internal transfers using a user-defined past date; the Scheduled/Done date is saved with that backdate (subject to permissions/lock dates).

2- Confirm scrap orders with a custom backdate

Allows posting scrap operations with a backdated Date to reflect the true effective time of disposal.

3- Mass assign backdate in picking & scrap orders

Provides a list-view action to apply the same backdate (and remark) to multiple pickings or scrap records at once, skipping ineligible states.

4- Put remarks while assigning backdaten

Enables adding an optional remark alongside the backdate for context and auditability.

5- Mandatory remarks option

Admin setting that requires a remark when backdating; saving is blocked if the remark is empty.

6- Backdate and remarks transfer to the journal entries

Inventory valuation journal entries inherit the backdated accounting date and the remark, keeping ledgers consistent.

1. Configuration for picking backdate, Tick the 'Enable Backdate For Picking' boolean.

6. You can't save the receipt without entering a remark.

7. If you enable 'Mass Assign Backdate(Stock)' then you can mass assign backdate.

8. Select orders from the list view then click on the 'Mass Assign Backdate' from the 'Action' button.

9. After that, this wizard opens, enters the order date and remarks. Here remarks come if you have enabled that feature.
