Installation

To install the module, you need to go to the Apps menu and remove the filter from the search bar and type the module name pragtech_hrms_sentiment_analysis, and click on the Activate button.

Configuration

Navigate to Settings > General Settings. Here you can see the “AI Credentials” section and the “OpenAI API Key” field. Need to set the API Key here. You can get the API Key from “ https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/api-keys “ here.

Workflow

Now go to the “Employees” application.
Select an Employee.
There is a “Feedback” section over there.
Here, the employee will provide the Feedback About Company, Feedback About HR, Feedback About Work, and Feedback About Leadership.
You can see an “AI Analyse” menu over here. In that menu, there is a submenu called “Sentiment Analysis”. Click on it and create a new record.
Select the “Employee” name.
After selecting the employee's name, the feedback will automatically fetch here. and run the analysis by clicking on the “Analyze Sentiment” button.
In this Sentiment Analysis, the AI will use natural language processing to analyse employee feedback and sentiment, using the Feedback About Company, Feedback About HR, Feedback About Work, and Feedback About Leadership of the particular employee. AI will also provide the Sentiment Score and Sentiment.

The tool analyzes four types of employee feedback:

  • Feedback About Company
  • Feedback About HR
  • Feedback About Work

These inputs are evaluated using natural language processing (NLP) to derive sentiment insights.

To install the module:

  • Navigate to the Apps menu in Odoo.
  • Clear the default filter and search for pragtech_hrms_sentiment_analysis.
  • Click on the Activate button to install the module.
3. How do I configure the AI API key for sentiment analysis?

  • Go to Settings > General Settings in your Odoo instance.
  • Locate the “AI Credentials” section.
  • Enter your OpenAI API Key in the “OpenAI API Key” field.
  • You can generate your key from OpenAI's API Key page.
4. Where can I access the sentiment analysis feature?

You can access the feature from the Employees application:

  • Select a particular employee.
  • In the Feedback section, provide or review the feedback entries.
  • Use the “AI Analyse” > “Sentiment Analysis” menu to create a new sentiment analysis record.
  • Select the employee, fetch the feedback automatically, and click “Analyze Sentiment”.
5. What outputs does the AI provide after sentiment analysis?

The AI provides two main outputs:

  • Sentiment Score: A numeric value indicating sentiment polarity.
  • Sentiment Prediction: A qualitative result such as Positive, Negative, or Neutral.
6. Can I customize or configure this tool further through the UI?

Yes, the module is designed to be fully configurable via the user interface. You can manage the API key, choose employees, fetch their feedback automatically, and run analyses with minimal technical intervention.
