What is a SCADA Tag and how does it work?
A SCADA Tag is the master registry record that maps a single Ignition OPC-UA tag path (e.g. [default]Well1/Pressure/PSI) to a specific Odoo target — Equipment, Project, Pipeline, or Log Only. Each tag controls which measurements it accepts, which products it produces, which work center role it plays, and which thresholds and retention rules apply.
Can one tag report multiple measurements at once?
Yes. Enable any combination of Pressure, Temperature, Flow Rate, Level, Gas Concentration (ppm), Vibration, Valve Position, Cumulative Volume, and Other toggles on the tag — a single incoming payload is logged as one wide reading row covering all enabled measurements.
How do alert thresholds trigger HSE incidents or maintenance requests?
Add a row in the Alert Thresholds tab with a condition (e.g. Temperature > 100), severity, and action (Create HSE Incident, Maintenance Request, Both, or Log Only). When a reading meets the condition and the cooldown has elapsed, the configured record is auto-created and Last Triggered and Times Triggered are updated.
Where do I configure the API key Ignition uses?
Go to Settings > Oil ERP, enable SCADA Integration, and enter the SCADA API Key. Ignition must send the same value in the api_key field of every JSON payload — payloads with a missing or wrong key are rejected.
