Canteen Orders

1. Canteen Order Creation

  • Users can create a new canteen order with an auto-generated order reference number

  • The customer must be selected while creating the order

  • The order date can be specified

  • Parcel fees can be added for parcel-type orders

2. Food Item Selection

  • Users can add multiple food items to a single order

  • Each food item displays its available quantity at the time of selection

  • Users can enter the required order quantity

  • The system automatically fetches the unit price of the selected food item

  • Tax is applied automatically if configured for the food item

  • The line amount is calculated automatically based on quantity and unit price

3. Order Workflow & Status Tracking

  • Confirmed – When the Confirm button is clicked, the order state is changed to Confirmed and the confirmation log is updated ✅

  • Invoiced – When the Create Invoice button is clicked, the invoice is created and posted, the order state is changed to Invoiced, and the log is updated ✅

  • Paid – When the Register Payment button is clicked, the invoice is marked as Paid, the order state is updated to Paid, the order is moved to Ready for Delivery, a token number is automatically generated, a notification is sent to the Delivery In-Charge, and the log is updated ✅

  • Delivered – When the Delivery In-Charge validates the order, the canteen order state is automatically changed to Delivered, and the log is updated ✅
